Off EVAS won't interview you with that time there are only 3 possible situations.
1. You are a troll and haven't really applied anywhere
2. Your resume is written absolutely terribly
3. You have made a terrible name for yourself.
None of those situations are correct.
EVAS was hiring applicants from India and Mexico last fall, maybe they are more suited for their ops.
I'm quite familiar with the things that are going on at EVAS. Trust me, if you haven't been called with the experience you say you have (unless it's 5000hrs in a 152) it has nothing to do with foreign pilots.
I have applied and didn't receive a job offer, you haven't, i'm very familiar with whether they are hiring Canadians or not.

No i haven't. But I did work there for years and am friends with a good chunk of the pilots there, including the chief pilot. If you actually are serious about your experience and your inability to get hired you need to do some soul searching. From what I gather you haven't been able to get an interview at at least EVAS, ggn and porter. All 3 companies are hiring tons of guys with a fraction of your experience. Somewhere along the line you obviously f***ed up. Either by pissing ppl off or by writing a terrible resume and cover letter.

I think you’re being a bit gullible here. This guy has been around for quite sometime singing the same song from different aliases
Not likely, likely more than me having same issue.

If you say so but you haven't been the one applying to know if they are or any airline is hiring.

Why don't you post your resume and converletter? You can remove your personal info, have some other people take a look. Maybe we can figure uit what's wrong.

As an AvCanada discussion grows longer:
-the probability of 'entitlement' being mentioned, approaches 1
-one will be accused of using bad airmanship

I paid a couple hundred dollars for Pilot Career Center to produce a Cover Letter and Resume. I suspect it's up to standards.
Roadrunnersmother,
Jazz alone has hired 1000 new pilots in the last 3 years, hours range significantly but I guarantee you with 5000 you would be looked at quite seriously. The fact you have not been interviewed speaks to some other issue.
If you are not trolling and serious about this, PM me and I’ll see if I can help in some way, more details are definitely necessary.
Networking is the key. We have hired several sub-300-hour guys. A few directly into jets. These people came with incredible character references, which means more than the logbook to me.

Good luck!
Sorry I don't kiss backsides to get ahead. It's morally wrong in my opinion. My beliefs such as that one should not prevent one from an Airline position.

Networking is different from kissing backsides.
But hey, it's your life, act as you please. If what you are doing is working for you, great. If not, you might consider changing what you are doing. Good luck!

I got my foot in the door sending off a year old resume that I didn't even change the date on... You're doing something wrong bruh.

So because they didn't hire you, they're not hiring any Canadians? You're the ultimate manifestation of the Canadian pilot, and if they won't hire you they won't hire anyone? That's rather narcissistic, wouldn't you say?

Last fall they were hiring from India and Mexico. I'm canadian and wasn't hired. I'm more qualified than the applicants from India and Mexico but would be paid more.
EVAS is morally wrong by not hiring Canadians first.

Are you talking about those poorly-photoshopped pictures that might not have been made by the company, and probably didn't result in anyone being hired? If I recall correctly, they were supposedly advertising to ab initio students to get their licences with GFT, become instructors, and eventually get on the 1900. You wouldn't have been competing with those applicants, even if the ads were real.
Were you applying as a first officer? Because someone with 5000 hours applying to be a 1900 FO in this market would certainly raise some red flags.

Yes for First Officer 1900.
Raise red flags? Why? I have 0 hours on B1900.

LOL... I saw a couple of those and they were pretty uninspiring, in my opinion... certainly nothing groundbreaking and the formatting lacked. Save your money
Air Canada. Went to flight school, got a degree, then took a few years off and worked in the oil patch, did some geo technical drilling, drove truck a bit and then sent em a resume and got in!

I will apply but likely waste of time.
If I can't get offered an FO position at EVAS or Air Georgian on 1900 I highly doubt AC will put me on a jet.
