CanJet Doubles Calgary Flights for Summer Season
Julie N. Gossen, CanJet Airlines’ Executive Vice-President & Chief Operating Officer, stated today that Calgary will remain in her airline’s future plans.
Ms. Gossen pointed out that CanJet Airlines currently operates one daily non-stop return flight between Calgary and Toronto with connections in both direction to and from Halifax, Moncton, St. John’s and Deer Lake. She said the airline will double service on the Calgary-Toronto corridor between June 26th and September 5th with 2 flights daily in both directions providing connections to Atlantic Canada.
Ms. Gossen went on to say, “Our present aircraft are heavily committed during the fall and winter to fulfill our commitment to the airline’s winter charter and our Florida flying programs. As we add new aircraft to our fleet, I am confident we will be able to serve the Calgary market on a year round basis.”
“Hopefully, today’s announcement clarifies CanJet’s future in Calgary,” said Ms. Gossen, “we have worked hard to build customer loyalty on this route and we have received great support from consumers and the travel trade since May 17, 2005.”
CanJet Airlines is a division of IMP Group Limited, Halifax, Nova Scotia, which has been selected as one of Canada’s Top 50 Best Managed Companies for the second consecutive year and is one of Canada’s largest aviation and aerospace companies. The airline division provides low-fare, scheduled service to fourteen (14) markets in Canada and the United States with Boeing 737 aircraft.

Yep, that rumour was kicked around a couple months ago. You can put it on the same pile as these other rumours:
-A319's,
-757's,
-J.G. being replaced,
-ALPA being certified,
-expansion of flying.
All of them - just rumours. Meanwhile the rush to the exits continues. Last one out turn off the lights, meet ya at the sandbox!

Hey po'dcjer. It's no skin off the bottom of my bag. I will still get my pension cheque every month. I will still continue to flick a few bucks CanJet's way when able. The wife was over to the rock last month with CJ and as usual it was a lovely trip both ways, treated well, clean A/C/ really nice backend crew.......... the again you are probably bored hearing that from me againpo'dcjer wrote:not really sure when the next g/s is but they are having one every month indefinitely, 4-6 people per month.
Now for the you other guys, you are starting to sound a little bitter, you better watch out or 55+ and 737 flyer will be all over your ass....![]()
