The concept of zero-sum bargaining would be proven a failure at the next round of bargaining at AC. Management traded off a 2-year flat pay to a 4-year flat pay while they shifted the money to more senior pilots. Not exactly zero-sum but that's the concept.

Don't confuse yourself with a snap-up clause in which the contract terms build on other bargaining units' agreements.
