I’m sure half the people that died in the world trade centre already hated America. From my experience most Americans hate their county already.
Damnit.
Damnit.

british and american intelligence pionts the finger mainly at the Bin Laden group again. Crazy guys. you think after the first US led attack.................on the US you would have learned!
the same intelligence that pointed the weapons to be in Iraq,
that 2 kidnapped soldiers constitutes the legal raping of an entire country by israel. all backed by the US and Brit as a measured response, even our Blackberry weilding PM says it IS so.
24 men are being questioned, nothing in the ways of materials found, no arrests. ppl scared shitless, no travelling, more reason for the war on terror, which should start in the USA and pretty much end there.
the final result, more resources to the millitary, by tomorrow Syria and Iran will be key players in the plot and the bombings will start there next week.
The axis of evil is coming, infact it was elected a couple of terms ago and the election is approaching, time to make the puppets dance, Alert CRITICAL, RED, what ever the hell it is these days.
welcome to the year 2006, agree with me or be called a terrorist and be killed. Only in america, and soon to premier in the UK.

WHAT?....umm it was well document'd that Martin & Bush realy didn't like each otherprop2jet wrote:Tailgunner: Believe it or not I have not seen any of Michael Moores films... To truly get a picture of what is going on in the world it is perhaps wise to broaden the source of ones knowledge. Try getting your news from off the continent to get a different perspective. When it comes to intelligent conversation and debate the last thing you should be doing is acting like Bill O'Reilly. FYI, Paul Martin may have been a Liberal but he was pandering to GWB. News Flash: 60% of Americans (at least as of a poll yesterday) are now opposed to American troops in Iraq. Remember it was lies and deception that got them there...

What does it matter whether bush and martin liked one another?? Martin fell in lock step with bush on the horseshit sovereingty desecration called the north american security agreement, also signed by vincent fox during martins last year as pm. The personal likes and dislikes of these traitors matters not one iota. As to todays soup du jour security threat, it is just more neo con bullshit designed to strike fear into the sheople, this stuff is so transparent to be laughable! Meanwhile the ever ernest resident idiot is down on his ranch on holidays while Israel bombs the hell out of Lebanon and all hell is breaking loose in Iraq and Afghanistan. Does anyone see a pattern here, like anytime the crap really starts to hit the fan, the idiot is taking a holiday. It must be time to ramp up the patriot act and remove some more constitutional rights.

You will never live long enough to know it all, so quit being anal about it..
Guys...I just want to apologize for jumping on you. I put my teenage daughters on BA through LHR on Tuesday. Kinda pushed the wife and myself a bit. Last night there were 3 BA A319's on the ramp here in GVA.
Before jumping on you guys, I pointed out to my wife (former CBC journalist) how coincidental, once again, that this emerges at the same time as Bush is low in the polls. I showed her page one of this thread and she gave me shit for posting as I did.
I'm in the industry and this is going to do more damage to it. Huge price to pay for votes, but I wouldn't put it past Bush. As for Blair, he takes direction from Bush (who takes direction from Cheney).
Feelin a bit raw from yesterday. Apologies.

And now this..
US warns of India terror attacks
Security is always tightened on eve of the Independence day
The US has warned of possible terror attacks in India in the coming days.
The US embassy in India said they could take place in Delhi and Mumbai in the run-up to the country's Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday.
The embassy said it had information that foreign terrorists allegedly intended to carry out bomb attacks around the cities.
It comes a day after UK police said they had disrupted a plot to bomb UK planes flying to the US.
American citizens in Delhi are being advised by the embassy to "maintain a low profile, be alert and attentive to their surroundings".
The advisory warned that terrorists, "possibly including members of al-Qaeda" were likely to target "major airports, key central Indian government offices, and major gathering places such as hotels and markets".
There was no immediate comment from Indian federal authorities on the US warning.

Isn't amazing how much the American intelligence agencies know about this? Watch and wait...

Four in trail of my big brother....
What blows me away is how much they know about Al Qaida, their movements, where they are, who's planning what, who's talking to who, etc. Yet they never manage to arrest them. Does Al Qaida really exist? What ever happened to the big anthrax scare after 9/11? Never heard much about it, did we?Speedbird Junior wrote:And now this..

too bad bush couldnt just come out and admit that cheney and rummy are actually running the country, not bloody likely tho. As far as the airline industry, now that people are not going to be able to take liquids on board, we will soon be seeing directives like this: "The Federal Government has just announced new measures to enhance security on board aircraft. All potential passengers, who have successfully passed a screening regime including a rectal and upper g.i. scan (fear not, this will all be done in a very efficient one step aft initiated procedure) and probing and full body xrays, will be freeze dried to prevent further terrorist activities. Liquids including bodily fluids will no longer be tolerated on board. Thank you for your cooperation and for realizing that this is for your own good." No doubt the sheople will all be pleased in knowing that they will be very safe while they are cryogenically packed.bmc wrote:Guys...I just want to apologize for jumping on you. it must be a full moon. talk about sheep... it's not the right wing that is full of sheep but the left. do you all subscribe to a jack layton newsletter?
i suppose richard reid, the shoe bomber, was a CIA secret agent or hollywood actor.
the USS Cole bombing was really a model, in a bathtub, with a fire cracker.
the 1993 WTC centre bombing was shot in universal studio.
car bombs in iraq? made up. fake. the shiites and sunnis love each other.
the guy who broke into my car was actually hired by Lorne Calvert so he could get more police into Sask and boost his ratings. seems it worked though since they re-elected that guy.
radical people don't exist. my muslim friend who continually supports these acts and says they are justified and says the anger in the muslim world is starting to spill over and will only get worse must be an actor as well. i guess when he says this is jihad and committing suicide is a honourable must be part of his script. i wonder if he gets paid by bush/blair and harper???
wake up and accept crime/terror and fanactics exists. i know our continually interference in the middle east probably fuels this anger.. but yes... people want to commit harm to the west. why does this surprise so many that they will attack aircraft and other economic targets?

172pilot: No one is saying all the incidents you have listed are made up! However consider this:
WMD was used as the pretext for the invasion of Iraq. No WMD found.
In the days following the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, the U.S. Government showed the Saudis satellite photos of Iraqi battalions amassed along the border with Saudi Arabia. The Saudis opened their doors wide to allow U.S. troops in... it later came out that no such battalions existed, the CIA fabricated the evidence to facilitate the process of basing troops in Saudi Arabia.
Go back further in time... Saddam was an ally of the U.S. He just got out of control. Al Qaeda is a name coined by the Americans to describe all these terrorist cells that were primarily funded by Bin Laden. He in turn went to Afghanistan (with the Mujahadeen) when the Russians were waging war there. Oh yeah, the Americans sent the CIA to equip and train the Mujahadeen.
The one and constant truth, never mind whether it is American, Russian, leftist or rightist or other... As long as nations or "people" have designs on other lands to conquer, be it for resources or religion there will always be resistance. Manipulation of facts and truth are used by both sides in order to propagate and intenisfy their positions.

THANKYOU!!!!!!!!!!
finally someone sees it for what it is. Yes there are people trying to do harm to the west, but look what "american freedom" has done to the east.
Iraq is much better off now, they have free elections, the american way, yet they die on their way to the polls to vote.
maybe the elections aren't fixed over there, GWB can brief you on that.
as long as the west dictates what should and will be done in the east, there will be attacks on the west, it just so happens that the shoe is now on the other foot, one mans freedom fighter is anothers terrorist.
why is it right for hundreds of thousands of iraqi civilians to die, and days later a WTC memorial serves a great reminder that such a vicious "unwaranted" attack was made on the US. by the US.
buildings being hit by planes happens everyday overseas, just by bombs luckily..........
no memorial, no condolences, just for their own good i guess.
enough innocent americans, iraqis, canadians, afghanis and the rest have died.
i feel for all innocent involved, regardless of race or religion,

If some events are legitimate terror attacks, how can we say or assume the latest event was a hoax? If some are legit, and supposedly some are not... how do you know the difference? Based on some political popularity... I'd like to see a formal study with more than 2 or 3 events supporting this theory of timing.
What we should focus on is probability. What is the probability of fanatics trying to strike again like Richard Reid attempted? I think the odds are quite high... so to say someone must have voted for Harper or supports Bush just because they consider this is a legitimate terror plot is nothing but absurd. I don't support Bush but I take the current state of world conflict seriously.

I think the focus should be more direct at minding ones own backyard before dictating to others how their's should be. Sure you can argue that what takes place overseas has or may have an impact of the safety and security of your home country, however where did it all begin???
For generations civilizations have had their conquests...and for generations to come humanity will likely face the repeat of history until someday there is nothing left to conquer.
Sadly, history has taught many lessons, the problem is obvious, no one learns from them.

Not formal, but here's a short list of governments creating a false crisis to obtain objectives, be they political or otherwise.172pilot wrote: I'd like to see a formal study with more than 2 or 3 events supporting this theory of timing.
-German invasion of Czechoslovakia 1938, under the pretext of defending ethnic Germans (orchestrated by political parties in both countries)
-Nazi scapegoating of Jews in the 30s
-Japanese invasion of Korea, China, South Pacific (pretext of protecting asian culture from western interference)
-Suez Canal Crisis (France, Britain and Israel collaborated in order to take out the Egyptian president)
-Soviet occupation/garrisonning of various Warsaw pact countries throught the 40s, 50s.
Terrorism has become the new pretext, but the setup is the same. Create a crisis to make people fearful. Then take away freedoms while claiming to defend the people (which is so ironic it hurts). I know, I know... I'm being paranoid, or leftist, or burring my head in the sand, or some other tired cliché. Think for yourselves people. Don't take politics or the news at face value.

Article from the National Review
“Perhaps—but they should at least recall the eerie resemblance of our dilemma to the spread of global fascism in the late 1930s.
At first few saw any real connection between the ruthless annexation of Manchuria by Japanese militarists, or Mussolini’s brutal invasion of Ethiopia, or the systematic aggrandizement of Eastern-European territory by Hitler. China was a long way from Abyssinia, itself far from Poland. How could a white-supremacist Nazi have anything in common with a racially-chauvinist Japanese or an Italian fascist proclaiming himself the new imperial Roman?
In response, the League of Nations dithered and imploded (sound familiar?). Rightist American isolationists (they’re back) assured us that fascism abroad was none of our business or that there were conspiracies afoot by Jews to have us do their dirty work. Leftists were only galvanized when Hitler finally turned on Stalin (perhaps we have to wait for Osama to attack Venezuela or Cuba to get the Left involved). Abroad even members of the British royal family were openly sympathetic to German grievances (cf. Prince Charles’s silence about Iran’s promise to wipe out Israel, but his puerile Edward VIII-like lectures to Americans about a misunderstood Islam). French appeasement was such that even the most humiliating concession was deemed preferable to the horrors of World War I (no comment needed).”

oil was getting too expensive in the US so they needed a way to bring the price back down.
why will checking our carry on be any safer? 90% of checked baggage is not screened, so I'm not sure how this helps?
and am I really sure that those on the plane sitting beside me and my 18 month old son will appreciate the fact that I cannot bring diapers, so that dump he just took will be smelling great after brewing for 4 hours.
3100ish were killed on 911, how many are we up to now in this useless Iraq war 5000+?
good job Dubya.

"Ask yourselves what purpose it serves to release this information in such a dramatic way into the mainstream media? Hundreds of "terror plots" get "foiled" every year, and yet the public are blissfully unaware. Why? Because there is no political value in telling them about it. "
man, you took my words...ding it! I mean, how much bs can someone take from cnn/bbc and others....I mean, they uncover this plan, and geez guys, let us all tell you how we did it!????
There was a poll somewhere conducted on the US citizens, on wether Iraq has weapons of mass destruction....and after constant 'bombardment' by news agencies, up to 50% of people belive this LIE, that is so obvious since the war started....but guess what? The propaganda worked, and people started believing a LIE to feel better about the shit and gilt that Irag war is causing daily!
So, yes, please, they can go ahead and feed me this whole "water bottle" theory, but at least I am not a sheep who follows the herd. I just wonder whats next......naked passengers in diapers and swim hats, with only a passport in a plastic bag
I better go for some tanning session!
