Maybe I'm reading this wrong, are you saying you're making 200K at WestJet??ivanhoe wrote:It took 16 years to 100k for me. 150k in 2 more and then went to Westjet.
All the way back to 40k. It took 3years to get back to 100k. Last couple of years 200k+
How many years to 100K?

The year before included options though. 2006 did not.

Wow, didn't know you could make 200K at WJA, I'm curious as to how many people do that?
I know the salary band for a 10 year Captain, but you must have a helluva lot of money going into stocks then I assume?
How many 10 year Captains at other Canadian airlines make 200K???
( I say 10 years since WJA has been around for 10, well I guess close if not passed 11 years now)

I just spent a week over in Europe, and it seems that everything was pretty much double the cost that it is here (ie, rent, meals, etc...), so making $200K really isn't that much...Not that I'm against leaving Canada for a flying job...I just think that it would have to be more worthwhile than that...now if your housing is paid and you are making that much, that's another story.Took me a couple of years to make $100K, and now 10 years later am making >$200K. And yes, there is a Porsche on my drive. Had to leave Canada though. If you want to fly heavy equipment and make lots of money come to Europe. Problem: The ever greater need to return home to Canada. I would give up the Porsche, but cannot convince the family to survive on the slave wages that are paid there!
