What video were you watching? The only thing that was shut down was the runway and the Q400 assembly line.

Umm... The engine was shut down as the gear collapsed... or am I seeing something magical when I watch it. Yes the props were tore off but they did manage to get the thing shut down before the aircraft came to a skidding stop.

Not to beat this horse too much; but that engine was running the whole time. A shut down engine would be feathered and not windmilling.

that prop was definitely not feathered. The engine was running.

The engine came to a grinding halt ("shut down" as you say) after the gear collapsed because propellers don't cut through asphalt very well.
