Of course the theory is that the Aviation Language Proficiency Test will accomplish just that: Weed out the folks who simply can't speak or understand the language well enough to pass the test (read pilot an airplane in an English speaking area) before they get a license and become a real hazard outside the controlled flight training environment.Cat Driver wrote:And we are just seeing the tip of the iceberg with this problem....unfortunately it seems someone will have to die before there are ground rules put in place to ensure that these students do understand the language being used.. Chinese students having problems flying doesn't comes from them being Chinese, it comes from them SPEAKING Chinese and not knowing English.
