You know your right., there’s nothing to brag about.

14-15 days off/month, 3 weeks vacation, salary range for a Capt. 90K-145K year after 10 years, 51K-75K as an FO (start salary better than WJ or AC I think?), no commuter pads, no 6 hour commute to YYC, or rat race commute to YYZ, no nasty AC gate agents to deal with other than when I am traveling as a Elite Aeroplan member and I get called up for my upgrade to J Class, 52 hour layovers in CUN[/b], and Cuba, very efficient flying, great overtime pay, a fair dental and medical benefits package, very well maintained aircraft, a solid union in ALPA, knowing most everyone you fly with, and living in YHZ.

Wow you are out to lunch, heres why..

14-15 days off/month --- What is your 90K based on? Then I'll tell you if if 14 days off/month is any good

3 weeks vacation --- Minimum allowed under Canada labour code - 10 days plus 9 stats

Salary range 90k-145 after 10 years -- Does that mean a Capt will make 145K in the year 2018? That's a standard sucker tactic, 5K per year over 10 years - You think Ken Rowe and 10 years belong in the same sentence, give me a break !

No nasty AC gate agents to deal with -- I'd rather deal with them than work for Ken Rowe anyday! And by the way that's not a nice thing to say, I thought you Easterners were suppose to be nice folk...

52 hour layovers in CUN, and Cuba, very efficient flying -- Read that to yourself 3 times and if it makes sense to you then you shouldn't be flying airplanes.

Very well maintained aircraft -- Now thats a joke ! Didn't it take Canjet 5 1/2 hours to get to PUJ because Ken Rowe was to CHEAP to put HF's in the airplanes?? HUH? How about all those MEL's on those 737-500's that were flying out of YYZ? HUH?

Living in YHZ -- Getting tired of that one after 25 years, who cares !

In my opinion, for what it is worth. Our industry took a direct hit with deregulation. That, coupled with the ridiculous and self serving scope claus, did nothing but segregate the pilots of this country and others. It still continues today at the numerous players involved. Air Canada has its two pilot groups still not over their merger, as well as the disfunction between them and Jazz. Westjet has it's wealthy group looking down at it's young unwilling to understand why the woohoo factor is not throughout the entire pilot group. And we then look over at the Canjet folks and think they are selling themselves short. Its a pilot eat pilot world out there. What do we expect when we have not held up the profession along the way for all involved. Sad state of affairs for a once well respected profession. We have no one to blame but ourselves.

Nobody mentionned travel privileges as part of employee benefit.
Do Canjet employees get passes with Transat ? Westjet ? AC ?

I guessing Bigskyjoc is not from the east coast?

While I'm not a huge fan of Halifax in General, there's a ton of beautiful communities and shorefront properties for a FRACTION of a 500 sq foot apartment in Toronto, that are within 30 minutes of the airport in YHZ.

Not trying to be funny here, but how much SHOULD pilots be paid?
Can anyone give an actual number please?
Break it down by Capt - F/O, if you'd like, but I'd rather like to see a number.

Respectfully...
