Re: Love Letter to WestJet Employees

Post by WFSPatrick »

The last few posts I see some scathing and immature remarks.
Even tho I dont agree with what you say I will fight for your right to say it.

Allow me to clarify a few of the topics I see addressed from the far side of the table.

1. We are not anti-government ~ we are anti-corrupt and abusive government
2. We are not a bunch of tree hugging hippies ~ we are a bunch of hard working and respectful Freemen. Fed up with our brothers and sisters being oppressed and taken advantage of around the world, this situation just brings it all home.
3. We are responsible, each one of us hold ourselves (respectively) fully accountable for ones own actions. Whether it is ones impact on the environment or seditious and libelous remarks, each and everyone of us knows we can and will be held to our own measure.
4. We believe the creators of the Canadian Constitution knew what they were writing when they wrote it, although policy makers now-a-days may not know which end is the head of the beast we feel that it should be upto all living souls in a region to determine what is right for them to live by and that decision should not be left upto the lofty & distant few.

Most pertinent to this topic would be;
The Constitution of Canada contains mobility rights expressly in section 6 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The rights specified include the right of citizens to leave and enter the country and the right of both citizens and permanent residents to move within its boundaries.
Section 9: freedom from arbitrary detainment or imprisonment.
section 24. (1) Anyone whose rights or freedoms, as guaranteed by this Charter, have been infringed or denied may apply to a court of competent jurisdiction to obtain such remedy as the court considers appropriate and just in the circumstances.
It is not our intention to involve any corporation other corrupt governments and their agents in our endevours to see a freer and more just society.

Respect is Paramount.
Govern yourselves accordingly.

Peace, Tranquility and Chocolate. :)
Patrick.

Well it has been sometime since my last post and I still do not see it up maybe it was too lengthy...
Maybe it was to down to earth...

In lieu of my previous post all I want to say is summed up in;
Canada's Social Union Framework Agreement, an agreement between governments made in 1999, affirms that "All governments believe that the freedom of movement of Canadians to pursue opportunities anywhere in Canada is an essential element of Canadian citizenship." In the Agreement, it is pledged that "Governments will ensure that no new barriers to mobility are created in new social policy initiatives."

Freeman, if you don't wanna show ID then maybe just buy your own small plane and use that to get around. I'm serious - a basic Cessna 152 or equivalent will cost you no more than 25k and I bet in this economy there are some good deals to be had. Buy a small plane and you can tour all around Canada to your hearts content.

Freemen,

Please provide me with the name and administrative office of said Aide

"And for your information, the Aide to the Minister agrees with me on all these points and is working to help find resolution without conflict or court. He knows you messed up when you denied me access because he knows how to interpret statutes and regs and he knows the standard required before rights are deemed affected."

The Aide is not the minister, and if you so think, you have been misled in you chain of command. While I appreciate your right to self determination of your society, I ask only that you respect the order of due process. I aso am concerned about over reaching government powers, trampling of rights and freedoms, but I also ask that you respect the rights of me and my unyeilding protection that I have for my family.

I ask you what would make you happy, you create the document take it and have it stamped by some government official, to have a copy kept on file for you and all your society to be made available to the public for all to see and reference?

What about travel to other places, you are now asking every nation in the world to recognize you and your society, please explain to me how this is to work on a grand scale.

I am willing to have a an open and honest discussion, while some may not they really are the minority in any society. If you do not wish to do this here please feel free to PM me.

Let me guess you had a Freeistval and decided to band together and defend your leader?? Oh, never mind I see that we've made your forum tonight. Very flattered.

I especially loved this quote from Ninja Early Warning, "i was going to post something supportive on that page but I'm not sure if it would even matter.. their just children ear muffing themselves, chanting "MEH..MEH..MEH" at the top of their lungs. Try not to get to pulled into it, let's focus how we can put the egg on their face."

Such peace loving Ninjas!
Misha wrote:Stickontheice wrote: "I checked out your website and more specifically your forum. Quite the bunch you have going on there. Ninjas and wolverines"

So Johnny Dangerous, Huge Hammer, Hoghead and others are somehow better? They're just screen names Stick.

Misha I suppose your right about the screen names except our screen names are for the most part just innocent fun. I decided on "stickontheice" because I love hockey. You guys appear to use the term "ninja" as a personification as a warrior fighting against your cause. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Listen the bottomline is simple if you guys are free to believe and exercise your rights and freedoms under the Canadian constitution. No problem with that. A lot of good men and women have died to protect your rights and freedom. However they've also protected mine too. I choose to live within our laws and exercise my right to vote in each and every Federal and Provincial election. I choose to teach my children that we have laws and rules that are in place to protect our society. That might not be your choice but its mine.

It is my privilege to work for WestJet. I have been treated like family since I joined. If you choose not to fly on our airline because you have to carry and produce proper government ID your loss. We may lose 4K a month in business from one of your ninjas but if for some reason AC allows you on the plane without ID you'll drive probably 3X's that amount back to us in market share from the guests that have to sit beside you and listen to your dribble.

Since you've invited yourself on our forum I will extend the invitation on your behalf to the rest of our group to visit your forum. Here's the link. http://www.worldfreemansociety.org/forum/index.php

Freeman Menard,

It should be pointed out, that the forum in which you first posted this thread, while titled "WestJet", is not exclusive to WestJet employees. As this thread is not really about WestJet, it has been moved.

Please be careful you do not abuse the fact that we, the moderators of this site, have allowed the thread to remain despite the obvious "infiltration" - lest deletion and banning occur.

The thread has been moved to "Political Debate", where it belongs.

I checked out your website and more specifically your forum. Quite the bunch you have going on there. Ninjas and wolverines who specialize in hydroponics and energy trying to get out of student loans, trying to get out of traffic tickets or screwing over the hard working police. Use that above average intelligence you claim to have and gain meaningful employment that contributes to society instead of trying to "...claiming and seizing a valley...”

You broke your contract when you showed up without proper government issued ID. You entered a contract with WJ that you would follow rules laid out by WJ and Transport Canada when you purchased the ticket or agreed to exercise the privileges of that ticket.

What bothers me the most is that you want to fly WJ but you won't do your part to ensure our safety? By providing proper identification you're ensuring that you are who you say you are. At the end of the day I want my company to do everything it can to ensure that I'm safe and that my crew is safe too. I'm thankful you were denied boarding and that the system works. We have families and I don't want someone on my plane who wants to engage in terrorism. Who are you to put my safety at risk???

Notaries are not a body bound to serve anyone. They serve their oaths and anyone can hold them to it. The government has nothing to do with it. Their existence in BC was fought against by both the Law Society and the Government of the day. The argument used successfully by the Notary Society was that someone had to exist as witness and provide remedy against potential governmental and judicial abuses and that the Notaries were impartial witness which could be used against government and the courts. How else do you sue or hold accountable these people was a key part of their argument. Look it up.

i don't know this deserves a response...

You broke your contract when you showed up without proper government issued ID. You entered a contract with WJ that you would follow rules laid out by WJ and Transport Canada when you purchased the ticket or agreed to exercise the privileges of that ticket.

Now we get to the nitty gritty. I did not break our contract, you did would be my position. The reason is this: there is nothing in the rules or regulations you refer to that states I need have government issued identification. It merely states you need ask to see it, it does not say if you do not that you are to deny flight rights. And if the rules do require the abandoning of existing rights, well that by definition is tyranny.

Wow, that is unbelievable... Absolutely beyond comprehension to me... used to be it was having something like a bomb or a gun or some form of weapon that made you a terrorist, now we have crossed the line to where NOT HAVING SOMETHING ISSUED BY THE GOVERNMENT is what defines you as a potential terrorist. Are we being serious here? I am a threat not because of what I have but because of what I do not have? Is this where you are at? Holy Mack Her All...

As for doing my part, what about a Peace Bond and an Indemnity Bond used to protect you, help you with your unjustified fear, identify myself fully and completely and still I would not have government issued identification resulting from a submission or application. Bear in mind, I will put up $30K on the table in order to prove who I am and that I am not a threat to your safety or that of anyone else. Do the people who have government issued id do anything like that? If my actions are not sufficient, then your claims fall flat quickly.

The fact that you believe that those who do not have government issued id are a threat merely for that reason is amazing to me. Seriously it is beyond comprehension and then when I factor in the fact you think I am of unsound mind I become concerned about your actions and what you would be able to justify to yourself. I too have family, and do not want them harmed, and people of your outlook are a threat to anyone with a mind.

No one wants someone on (in) a plane that wants to engage in terrorism. Not me not you. What makes you think I want to do such a thing merely because I refuse to abandon my rights? I refuse to submit or apply. I do not intend or claim the right to engage in terrorism. But apparently I am someone to be feared as one would a terrorist, because I ask questions, and refuse to submit.

Seriously unbelievable....

PS - To the Mods: I do appreciate your forum, and do not seek to be disruptive and I thank you for your patience and consideration. My original intent was not to infiltrate, and nor is it now to harm.

I'm a Westjet pilot, if I tried to board a flight without proper government ID I would not get on. Simple as that, been like that for years. We didn't make these rules; we just have to follow them.

I'll admit I haven’t read all your responses so maybe you've said this already, but why are you suing Westjet for simply following the rules? You've stated many times how friendly and courteous the staff were, but yet seem bent on revenge. And now we have more of your follower’s wishing our company ill by refusing to fly.

Doesn't sound all peace and flowers you seem to preach.

Now if you and your followers want to fight something real, why not tackle Income tax, it's misuse and it's legality?!

Hi Freeman I am quite fascinated with your new society and believe I can be of help to you.

This bit is something that I can help you with.

★Freeman Valley – We will be claiming and seizing a valley within which those who desire can join a working and stable community.
I just happen to have a Husky on Amphibious floats that is perfect for searching out a valley for your new home.

Like you I am at the top percentile of intelligence and therefore my fee is $3,500.00 per hour.

The only picture ID I need for you to fly with me is 35 pieces of US currency with Benjamen Franklin's picture on them.

You can PM me with your acceptance of my offer.

Peace:

Cat.

so lets see if i have this straight...

the argument is that the regulation requires ONLY that the airline ASK for the government issued ID.. not that the person has to provide it nor that they (the airline) must deny boarding if it is not presented.

hmmmmm... something certainly is strange....

on the surface....that much seems true..(?) weird.. never read this before...

http://www.passengerprotect.gc.ca/identity.html

Identity Screening Regulations

Age Requirement for the Identity Screening Regulations

The Identity Screening Regulations require air carriers to ask passengers who appear to be 18 years or older for identification.

Before boarding, all passengers planning to travel on Canadian domestic and international flights coming to or leaving Canada who appear to be 18 years of age or older, are to be asked to present:

One piece of valid government-issued identification that includes a photograph and the passenger's name, date of birth and gender

OR

Two pieces of valid government-issued ID showing the passenger's name, without photographs, at least one of which must include the date of birth and gender

OR

A Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) (a smart card issued to airport workers).

Mr Freeman and associates

I am employed by WestJet Airlines as a Pilot and have found this post of interest. I hope that you can understand the fact this this forum is usually lighthearted and that berating is sometimes used in jest.

I can also understand your position with regard to being asked to show govt issued ID. The problem with your position is that you are not looking at the intent of the rule. Honestly speaking does it really matter that you found a loop hole? All that would be required by the federal govt would be to "fix" the wording. The supreme court of Canada does look at the intent of the law. Can you really expect that they would not see this intent? Or that any airline in Canada should be monetarily punished for following this intent?

Please try not to punish the people that are trying to do the right thing.

HI! Well after reconsideration and speaking with some folks, I have decided upon another course of action.

My goal is to make friends and alleviate your burdens and not load more on. If I seemed bent on revenge, that was not my intent.

So the way I see it WJ has three main concerns.
The first of course is safety.
The second is liability with TC.
The third is ensuring they know who their guests are.

Instead of suing WJ or even serving them a fee schedule, I will instead give them an Indemnity Bond worth $25K and if TC wants to charge them, WJ can send them to me with the Bond I gave them, and all liability will be mine. I will indemnify, not crucify.
Secondly I will post a Peace Bond valued at $5K and again gift WJ with that and if I ever act in a manner contrary to peace, I am out that $5K.
THEIR FINAL CONCERN IS ENSURING THEY KNOW WHO THEIR GUESTS ARE, AND IF THEY ARE HOLDING TWO BONDS ISSUED BY ME, THAT point becomes quite moot, right? (Sorry for the caps, I have a new Mac Book that does it willy nilly it seems) You can't say you do not know a party if you have accepted bonds from them.

I think this is the path that will bring the greatest remedy without harming anyone or requiring me to sue WJ. OF course if all these things are not acceptable, then I may have no choice but to serve a fee schedule, and it still does not result in a judicial review of the policies, so that may be needed, but a JR of this nature does not require an adversarial contest at all.

I hope that course of action will be seen as an honest attempt to avoid conflict and alleviate the concerns of both WJ and TC. As for ID I will use notarized ID as I have been doing, but will back it with a photocopy of a birth registration document and a police background check so there is no doubt who I am and that I am a man of peace and that serving me will not result in any harm to you.

I would like to thank the employees of West Jet here for taking time to help me correct my course as maybe some cross winds were affecting me. If this is not the proper course then we should continue discussions until the proper path becomes clearer.

First off, what the @#$!?!! You have a lot of free time on your hands buddy!
Freeman Menard wrote:And yes, they are forced to 'check id' they are however not forced to deny a boarding pass to those without government issued id and I will prove it...
No you won't because the Supreme Court has deemed you to be a certified nut-job who has no mental capacity to assume the role of an attorney.

Airlines may not be an authority when it comes to denying people without government-issued photo identification, but they do have the authority to void the said contract at anytime and refund your money. If that was me, I would of given you your cash and problem solved. At that point, the airline has no business with you. You can't claim liability on a contract that has been terminated. You are not worth the trouble or costs of your business. In the grand scheme of things, your 4K/month and group of 1000 follows is nothing.

If you're so intelligent and educated on the legal system in our country, you must know that companies can have the right to refuse business. No one *has* to fly you anywhere. You are free to travel anywhere across this country. Have fun walking to St. John's from Vancouver!

And about your "fee schedule" You can't serve a fee schedule to company just because they assume authority. It just doesn't make sense. That's like charging McDonalds a fee schedule for not accepting your hyper-inflated Zimbabwe currency. The haven't assumed authority saying the currency is invalid, rather they've made the decision to not accept your payment because it's of not value to them.

How do you have only one piece of ID?
Do you drive? Are you breaking the law and operating a motor vehicle without a proper license? When you were born, did they not issue you a birth certificate? Do you have a job? Do you pay not taxes and have a social insurance number? Are you extremely wealth and pay cash for any medical costs you incur? Do you use the BC health care system using a CareCard?

All of these things will get you on an airplane. Rob, you're forgetting that our industry got hit with huge blow on September 11, 2001 and we do not forget this. Every measure we take supports the safety of not only ourselves, but our guests. Showing government-issued ID for 30 seconds is a small price to pay for increased safety of this nation we all have so much respect for.

I also find it ridiculous that you can say you don't want to cause harm to the people of WestJet. By suing WestJet, you add additional costs to our company, lowering our income and ultimately affecting (and harming) the quality of life of my family.

From reading the post on your forum about us, you sound like a group of lazy, self-absorbed elitist hippies who are trying to fight I battle you know can never be won.

And "the Wolverine" comment... HAHAHA that is the funniest shit I've heard in a long time. I actually fell out of my chair at that point.

Let's call CHOPS and get this motherfucker on a no-go list.

I will try to answer your questions without regard for your rancor and apparent anger.

First of all, Supreme Court does not wish to point to me and say what you are willing to do, neither is the Law Society. The fact is I am not the person referred to in the ruling, and neither the people who sought it or gave it wish to claim otherwise. So why should you?

As for the right to fly, airlines need a valid reason for denying services, and doing so because you do not like the political or spiritual values of someone who is no threat to safety is as unacceptable as denying someone because you do not like their skin colour.

I do not drive as I am not employed making my living on the highway. I do exercise my right to travel and distinguish between a motor vehicle and an automobile and you wont like this, but there is no requirement to have a license to get on the road and travel in a privately owned and unregistered automobile, and if unregistered, it is not subject to the motor vehicle act. I do not have a SIN, as I am not an employee of the federal government and I do not pay income tax as I have no account with Revenue Canada. As for health care, when I broke my arm, I got it fixed and asked them to give me a bill, realizing I broke my arm through my own stupidity and should bear the cost myself. I was planning on doing an accepted for value and discharge by way of set-off, but they never presented a bill, and I kept asking them for one.

And on 9/11 it was not just your industry that got it. We all did.

Now, in regard to your point about suing, I have thanks to some of your fellow employees decided on a far different course of action and have just emailed your President with an offer to Indemnify, present a peace bond and seek a non-adversarial judicial review of the requirements of the regulations. If there is a fight it will not include West Jet at all and nor will the acceptance of my offer harm in any way. Furthermore, the World Freeman Society will not be taking any action save sending you happy thoughts and good wishes and doing what we can to support your organization while increasing and exercising our rights.

And finally, I am glad I live in a country where you won't be able to put me on a no-fly list due to political and spiritual values and views and it is kinda sad you would consider such a thing.

Have a great day!
Rob

Hi all and particularily Robert.

I found this forum from a link on another forum I use frequently (DAVID ICKE) where Rob had described the situation here, and being a user of West Jet I thought I would take a look.

What I found a bit distressing (though all too common these days) were the menatality of the initial responses here on this thread.

Assuming that this is an "Adult orientated" forum (I find it hard to imagine under 18s attracted to the content here in any way) the posts are indicative of the selfish, crude and probably fearfull mentality that people just may have these days.

As I see it, Rob shared his experience with his time in an effort to shed light on what he seen as an injustice to himself, he made sure to add all the details as he saw them upfront (thus saving endless questions and time) and was met with low-brow ridicule tantamount to the belittling on a school playground or an uneducated mob in a feudal society.

flystraightin is a very sad example of this. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

What Rob had helped many realise about Canada, BC and the whole context of trade and services is that we are binding ourselves to legal contracts, and that there is a heirarchy here that most of us outside of the legal profession (and many there as well) are almost completely unaware of.

The implications of this affect us every day and are the fundaments of how we experience interactions between each other on a day to day basis. In legal terms. Laws. Courts. Policing. Services.

These are all bound by LEGAL contracts, rules and laws, which when done with selfLESS intention for the greater good afford us a way to assure better a happier life for all.

I suppose most of us are too jaded, overworked and cynical to even afford a bit of time to begin facing our personal fears, to begin realising the idea that we have been hoodwinked, to even begin playing with the thought that we can be RESPONSIBLE for our lives and help ourselves.

And its not surprising considering the mass media, the education system and the like.

Rob I suppose this is a small indication of what we face, and therefore a valuable learning tool as well.

You have shared what you can with others, and I thank you for your efforts (even if selfishly motivated, which I understand ESPECIALLY in light of the awakening you must have had with your daughter and the state) because they have, along with Jordan Maxwell and others helped shed valuble light on an INJUST system by its OWN definition.

Corruption exists in many flavours, and sometimes we can be so involved. locked in that "rat-race" that BOX that its hard and even scarey to imagine a way out, to take the small steps towards SOLVING problems ourselves with the good people around us, and its just that much easier to cynically (and childishly) lash out in defence.

You SCARE people Rob, We all do when we reveal the apparent truths behind the facade of a system that has manipulated us for so long, that it seems so big and powerful, though the solution is US. as the clicke goes:

WE are the ones we are waiting for.

Think about it!

Gonna go tend to my ORGANIC garden now....

That aside,

Thanks again Rob, and I look forward to shaking your hand sometime if our paths cross.

Mark

you sound like a group of lazy, self-absorbed elitist hippies who are trying to fight I battle you know can never be won.
Should we not be grateful that there are some who do question our erosion of freedom? On the contrary, it's the rest of us Canadians who are the lazy ones, we bitch and moan about every new regulation or tax our govenment imposes yet never put a toe on the street to protest.

Just wish they didn't pick on WJ alone, all commercial airlines in Canada have to follow the same rules.

I hope posting this here is not discourteous to Sean, but I wanted to set the minds of West Jet employees at ease on this beautiful day and assure them that this issue is being resolved in a timely and civil manner without any negative effect on them in any way now or in the future.

Dear Sean Durfy, and West Jet Family Members

Hello and good day! I am Robert-Arthur, a Sovereign Freeman-on-the-Land of the Menard Family, presently Interim Director of the World Freeman Society and founder of the Elizabeth Anne Elaine Society. I realize you are a busy man yet we have a problem that needs be addressed. I was denied an opportunity to fly on your airline recently due to a memo from Transport Canada stating they knew who I was and I was to be denied my right to fly within Canada if I did not have government issued identification.

As I understand it you have a number of concerns which I would like to help you with in order to resolve this issue. I would like to thank some of your employees, whose identities I do not know, but who with their words on a internet forum helped me to see the benefit of an non-adversarial approach to resolving this issue. I see your first concern as safety and thus I will issue a Peace Bond worth five thousand dollars promising to act in a peaceful manner and within the accepted bounds of common decency and respectful behaviour. This is my standard way of acting anyways, but I resolve to set your minds at ease and release you of this burden of fear.

Your other concern is liability with Transport Canada and in order to help you with that unfair burden I would like to enter into an Indemnity Agreement with you where if Transport Canada decides they wish to try to fine someone for us not having government issued identification, it will not be you or your airline, and the World Freeman Society will stand in defence of our rights, your airline and employees and against what we see as ludicrous and improperly enforced regulations. Our position is that the only requirement you have is to ask to see government issued identification and not that you must deny boarding to those without said documentation. In order to resolve this issue we will seek a judicial review of this matter without adversarial intent to you or Transport Canada and once completed the indemnity agreement will obviously no longer be necessary.

The final concern is I believe that you know who your guests are and again this is claimed to be for safety reasons. However I think I can help you there too. Hi! I am Rob, the guy offering you two bonds, one of indemnity, the other of peace. I will be happy to identify myself to what ever reasonable standards needed, and as I am a comedian, can offer you and your employees a free comedy show. (Sometimes I can be very funny.) Furthermore, I am willing to forgive and forget the unfortunate breaching of a contract and I can see an opportunity where the World Freeman Society and West Jet enjoy a profitable and friendly association where the identification documents we create for our members are accepted by your organization as suitable for domestic travel purposes.

Among my greatest concerns are not only for my country but also for my duties to my father. He lives in Windsor and if he either beckons, passes, or is stricken I will have to go to Windsor to fulfil my filial duties. I trust that if such a thing happens, that the bonds offered will be honoured and my travel will not be hindered in any way. I do of course hope to resolve this issue well before then and that these things do not come to pass for a long while.

If you have any other concerns not addressed by these actions I hope you will cause them to be brought to my attention so I can alleviate those as well. If this course of action is acceptable to you, please get back to me and I will cause the bonds to be created and escrow accounts established. I will also begin the process of seeking a judicial review of the policies Transport Canada has asked you to enforce to determine the flight eligibility of those who do not have government issued identification.

In closing I would like to thank you for your time and consideration in this matter and I look forward to once again enjoying the West Jet experience as I exercise my rights within this wonderful common law country.

Sincerely and without malice aforethought, ill will, vexation, or frivolity.
I AM

Robert-Arthur of the Menard Family
