JV ... great work ... I've seen them for sale at the Western Canada Aviation Museum and contemplated buying the Beaver, but the always common-sense and practical Mrs Fogducker reminded me we still have well over a dozen unframed pictures yet to hang, and if I wanted that one, I would have to get off my lard-filled (or caused) butt and hang the Robert Bateman print first.
So, the Bateman is still unhung, ..... your Beaver lithograph is still at the WCAM ... and my ass is still "lardy."
I'm envious of your talent.

Wow JV, those are great! I wish I could do something like that.

The guy that runs that is Jeff Garrity, and if he doesn't have what you're looking for he'll point you in the right direction. I've bought stuff off him, and the service is first class.
I don't know of any manufacturer who makes one of those, but try here:Does anyone know where I could purchase a model-kit for a M.C. 72 aircraft?

Here's some work-in-progress pics of my latest...Fleet Canuck CF-EAO. All scratch-built from factory line drawings scaled to 1/32 scale in Coreldraw. It is almost ready for paint in the original blue/yellow factory scheme. I first soloed EAO 8 July 1952 at Windsor.

Scratch built in ABS?
Get outta town ... excellent work ODF
I really enjoy working with sheet ABS ... what a great medium, but I don't do anything as slick as those compound curves in the Canuck.
Congrats from OFD

OFD: The bottom skins on the fuselage were .015" styrere plastic with the stringers scribed on the inside with a ballpoint pen. The same technique was used on the .010" wing skins to give the effect of wing ribs. The wing skins are contact cemented to balsa wing cores..but in two pieces, top and bottom with the front edge stopping just short of the leading edge of the core. The D section is hardened off with Super Glue, sanded and after the skins are attached. a bit of modelling putty is used to smoothen the leading edge.
Barney

The ailerons are sheet styrene with .030" Half Round styrene cut to length and sanded to give the idea of the stamped stiffeners.

Super-slick ODF ... I've used that sheet styrene for a number of model railway items ... mainly buildings.
Thanks for explaining the pen trick ... I may be able to use that sometime in the future, so I'll file that away in my memory banks.

I've been working on this tractor at school since september, and today we finally got to drive it. It's extremely loud (got a straight pipe), blows alot of smoke, I mean alot of smoke (two stroke gasoline), and it's great for chasing down P.E. students.

For those that are into model trains and old toys and in Southern Ontario there is a big auction coming up (estate sale) for a bunch of model train stuff.
The auction guy is David Moore (good guy) and it is near Barrie this Saturday June 5th:

The 1/32 scale Fleet Canuck is getting close to completion. Still needs struts, registration letters (CF-EAO) a wooden prop, and tail brace wires. The doors need some detailing before being installed.

Beautiful model Barney. What do you use for your windshields, and do you vacuuform them?
On those Noorduyns I build I make my own windshields, frame 'em up with bits of aluminum and make the panels out of 1/32 clear acrylic.

Hi Jim: The windshield and skylight are cut from .010" acetate. And it was a PITA to get it right. I must have made 12+ patterns and windshields before I got it quite right. With only one good eye, the little beast has a few flaws but its for me so I'm not worried. I carved a mold from balsa for the cowling and vacformed it from .040" styrene...and tere is a C85-12F inside...no kidding!

The Canuck is finally finished just in time for the 58th anniversary of my first solo in this aircraft. Everything in this model is home made including the decals

You've done another fine job there Barney.
Which reminds me, those floats are 27 feet long, including the bumper at the front.

Thanks to everyone for the comments on the Canuck. And as I said to one guy, it has history...and for GaryP who lookings in here, I can blame it all on your father! I spent many enjoyable hours with him in EAO and I'll have to admit Jim was my hero.

Barney - Great work on the Fleet 80. I love it.
Siddeley Hawker - CF-BHW is coming together beautifully.
I've attached a picture of a Fleet Canuck model that my Grandad carved in the '50s.
He learned to fly on this airplane and later on, ended up owning it. Not as detailed as yours Barney but a nice tribute none the less.
Cheers,

Barney, incedently too - I have some stick time on the sister ship to your EAO.
CF-EAP. That was a long time ago though now.
It's since been impaled in the roof of barn in Langley, but I've heard it was on the mend and may be flying again.
