Raise your hands now and we'll take you aside and draw nice little pictures with crayons and sticky's, and when you finally understand, you'll get a nice big star beside your name. JAZZ PAYS INDUSTRY STANDARD WAGES FOR THE 57, THEN WE ALL GET TO SHARE THE WEALTH, IT'S SOOOOOO SIMPLE, I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE STILL DON'T GET IT.
For the record I doubt any new operators will be paying 110,000 to fly a Dash, but for the sake of argument, industry standard without a status pay system would likely be around 70,000-80,000. Just guessing.
Have fun this winter, either way.

Cheers!

airmech
however we are getting 3 used ones till then
The latest bid for the pilots has no training on the q400 at least until after the next bid, which is Jan.
Also there was a statement issued regarding the q's, about the 1st ones arriving May, expecting the training to start in Mar2011.

Well that is great news. It might be fun to see all those Q400's running around Pearson and elsewhere. How are you going to spread those 3 Q400's and make an impact?

Out in Calgary against Westjet?

Or perhaps out east against PAL's non Q100's?

Maybe (just maybe) you should concentrate all you efforts out east against Air St Pierre........

Not that I am supporting Porter or anything......

And how many and how fast are those Q400's going to roll off the assembly line for Jazz????? in May of 2011?

Ahh but then again I could always make a call and get the correct answer (but what fun would that be anyway). Just not an official answer..........We all know what happened with Oprah.....well some do anyway...

Now how that that old saying go in my country???

Oh yes translated: Don't touch s-it it smells all by itself.......

Pretty much.

But then again I was hoping for an intelligent and insightful rebuttal to my ramblings.

And I must admit that last comment was definitely insightful.

Does anyone know how many aircraft will they operate to start?

Just for info I have 3200h and almost 900h on the Dash (100/300) and I haven't heard from them. Maybe they're looking for training captains first...

I've got some info :
- They will have 8 Aircrafts according to an Air Can pilot
- They will operate between Toronto - montreal - ottawa.

That's all I have.

Thanks for your infos Clark.

OUCH !!
My source seemed pretty confident,
perhaps they'll have 8 ACs in the long term, if it goes as planned.

The original RFP stated 5 Q400 aircraft to be operated out of YTZ. There are a lot of things going on in the background .. the biggest one is ACPA. They have the right to assign conditions to the agreement .. and that will be the ultimate factor in the end.

Does that mean the Sky Regional pilots will be governed by ACPA?
