Indeed, I can't see anything preventing two aircraft being on the runway at the same time.
If proper Airmanship and CAR 602.19(10) are not stopping you, will a 7 days licence suspension wake you up?

The TC aviation enforcement, below, was taken from COPA Flight August 2011.

Thanks for posting that. Though I somewhat support landing with another aircraft on the runway when conditions are mutually agreed to and understood, yesterday the local soaring club's tow plane not only landed behind our aircraft, but did not make the required radio calls in order to be 'stealthy' about it.

Hello iflyforpie,

Maybe if the conditions are mutually agreed and understood, the situation is different, but CAR 602.19 has no provision for any pre-arrangement. What if somebody, who is not one of the pilots, claims that there was an "apparent risk of collision"?

COPA Flight August 2011 shows two enforcement actions were pilots did not make the required radio contact in a MF area (CAR 602.101). These pilots were fined $250.

The Enforcement Actions for April 2011 (the same ones shown in COPA Flight August 2011) can be found here:

Old Dog Flying wrote:Why is the military formation take-off and landing even brought into this equation? Yes they have multiple aircraft on the runway at the same time..all going in the same direction at the same time, all properly briefed and not the scenario put forward by the OP.

I'd be glad to meet you over a beer sometime and discuss the CRUSTY OLD BASTARD idea.
Just trying to point out that multiple aircraft can, and do use the same patch of concrete in a perfectly safe manner. In my opinion a wing landing is far more risky than simply landing overhead of a stationary aircraft. 2 (or more) aircraft + 1 runway seems to be anathema to most guys here. (one beer to me for using the word "anathema" in a sentence)

OK I take back the "CRUSTY" part. I didn't expect you to have that much patience with a late night rant of mine!! PM me if you're ever in Bag-town, I know a "cockpit" that serves, and we can super-drink-off to resolve the "BASTARD" part!
