Taking the Bumble Bee to YWG tonight for her very first service. Love the bike! Probably will NOT love what the BMW dealer will charge me for an oil change......last one they will get to do, though!

The visit to the dealer didn't turn out to be too $$$. Headed to YQT next weekend for a "rally" of like minded souls on the shores of Dog Lake. Will post a couple of pics.

I find the local bmw dealership (auto) to be more than reasonable price wise and they provide great service. Albeit they are new and trying to make an impression in the area.

Didnt ride the Bonner as much as I had hoped this year.. Only about 5k. Season on the wet coast is quickly coming to an end for me. All the better, as I have many mods planned and bits on their way to me. I'll post a before and after shot when I'm through with it!
How was everyone elses season? Hows that Beemer treating ya Doc?

The Beemer sleeps under a blanket and cover till the snow melts. So far, so good. I just put the DR650 to bed this week as well. BTW....I HATE WINTER!

Winter still has an icy grip on my poor bikes. The DR might be looking for a new home, if anybody needs an older good .. Needs a gasket kit. That's about 100$ and a couple hours of wrench time.

One of the pleasures of Van. is you can ride all year. ( 'cept if it ever snowed, but even the ski hills

can't get enough to operate this year..lol.)

Yeah, like the fellow said, " Vancouver is like heaven, only you don't have to die to get there.". If it weren't for snow making machinery there probably wouldn't be any Ski Hills South of Whistler. ( They would all have gone broke.)

Took a bike for a rip in downtown Hanoi today, quite and different experience from riding in Canada, aside from being terrifying, it was a lot of fun.

I have been waiting for that, worth the wait.
A picture of the bike parked by an interesting landmark would be bonus.
They need to add a vintage bike show area to AirVenture.

So.... This happened...
I'll give a ride report once I get her serviced and on the the road. Side car is coming off initially, until I get my bike fix in... then it'll probably go back on. First Stop is Sapa in north Vietnam.

NICE! Reminds me of these guys.
Basically they ride in interesting places then try to cook local style food.
I think this is the long form of the Vietnam episode.

hmmm that was a couple years ago, but It would have been a D7000 and a 17-55mm 2.8, usually on a tripod and with a Circular polorizer and a 8 stop neutral density filter. Now I usually shoot with a little Fuji X100s, it blows my SLR out of the water for quality, and I love more then I will ever love a human child.

Here is my cousin riding some river trails somewhere in the region of Terrace.

Makes me feel like a teenager when dirt bikes consumed our thoughts all the time.

Wow, that's a big bike for those trails, I've always preferred smaller bikes for that sort of thing.
Got the Ural fully up and running without the sidecar this morning for a rip around the lake. The sound of the horizontally opposed twin reminds me of a 985... GIANT smile on my face: Old Bike that sounds like a beaver, stunning young lady on the back, and it's -24 back home. It's a tough life old boy, a tough life.

There is that saying about drinking whiskey older than your companion. Wonder if it transfers over to classic cars, planes, boats and motorcycles?
I liked riding 250cc dirt bikes best once I was too huge for my RM125. Have never tried his 650, someone in the comments said it was only 28 pounds heavier.
