Thanks JS,
The Astar came out really nice.
The Goose was through glass from my room in camp the other day... out of focus, but I figured you people like airplanes... So.....LOL

The hardest thing about flying is knowing when to say no
After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Hey STL;
Do you fly exploration survey crews in the mountains ?
If you do, you are a god in my books!!!! I started out in mineral exploration as a dirt bagger back in the 80's( after I got out of aviation for awhile ) and ended up as a junior prospector working in B.C. ,Yukon ,NWT ( as it was known then ). The pilots I met were incredible!!!!! The set outs were cool, pick ups were amazing , never got left out , and was saved from Grizzlies on at least 5 occasions by chopper pilots!!!!!!
Love you guys. keep flying safe.

Re: Pic from a swamper
Float season is here!
I was hoping to get some actual, "pics from a swamper" when I went swamping later in the day, but as I was about to leave, I found out my camera was missing from beside the airplane! After some frantic moments we figured the previous passengers must have mistaken it for some of their luggage. It was a very stressful flight, not knowing for sure if these guys had my camera and if I would get it back. I was so relieved when dispatch called us on company frequency on the way home to let me know it was brought back. Lesson learned!

Yes, we fly exploration all through B.C. and Yukon, mostly moving diamond drills, soil and rock sampling, staking, and other related jobs. It's a lot of fun, and my past tour which just ended was a really good one, although I was flying so much I didn't get the chance to take as many pix as I would have liked.
When you get good crews who are well trained in toe-ins and hover exits, it's great fun, when you get a green crew it can be a tad stressful!
Glad you like the pix, here's few from Yukon in June.

I'll try to get a few more up soon.
