My buddy took all the pics last weekend in Atlin, we went down for the music festival. Good times indeed. I am around, in Whitehorse though. I'm always up for a coffee down at Baked cafe (pm me) Hard to say what ride is in my future. Lots of different ones I hope as long as the pay is good, hopefully some rotary evenually. Right now I'm on the 206 and working as an FO on the skyvan. And yeah STL, we can trade anytime :D

Thanks. I'll post some more tomorrow from a sweet air to air session we had this afternoon. Where are you working out of sheep hunter?

Right now I'm grounded anxiously awaiting for my ride to get out of sick bay. Then will be heading to northern Quebec until the end of Sept. Have been out west most of the spring / early summer. I'll be working on my photos. Have a lot to learn from you guys on here. Thanks for pushing me to get better shots.

As for the old photo, it's Pickle Lake, the Central Air Transport dock. I flew there then... perhaps we know each other?

Do I have to read my Canon EOS Rebel manual to get pictures even close to these?

Ragbag, another great bunch of shots. Sure miss the Yukon. Niss, nothing new around CYQA but people. Summer's on, fair bit of weekend jet taffic coming in and dropping off. Great new Sushi place in Bracebridge. Can taxi on the water to the Pub in Huntsville (from the Vernon Lake side). Look at lots of new cottages on the lakes. Lot of big green golf courses. New registered float base (CHL6) with reasonable fuel on Vernon. Between the Lake and Deer Lake trailer park. Otherwise nothing ever really changes here. Can't wait to head north.

looks like ex- US military... You can just see the outline of the stars'n'bars on the top of the wing... WW2ish vintage. I think!

B-29 in Northern Greenland. Discussed here:

http://www.avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopi ... nd#p244140

Very sad! :( :(

Very biased version of the events is described here:

The pictures show what she looks like now. Someone will be going after those wings some day (They only have a few hundred hours on them.) but the rest is just scrap aluminum now.

by just curious
They were bond and determined to reject advice from anybody, especially the Resolute pilots who knew the wreck, surrounding terrain, a well as the engineers who specialize in arctic salvage. The outcome, while sad, wasn't unexpected.

Since YT seems a popular photo spot, here are a few recent scenery pics, courtesy of Norm B.

That's it... a new camera is needed. I just can't compete.

Nothing wrong with your camera, you are competing just fine!
