Stop the spread or slow it down and covid 19 can't survive. There’s nothing to debate. It’s just simple science. It applies to the flu virus as well and so much of this debate is a waste of time. The Canadian airline industry is about to collapse like it or not. You'd think anyone working in, or who used to work in this industry would be interested in stopping the spread of Covid - 19, but instead, it's nothing more than a debate over personal opinions as to how to play games and ignore the science.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/arti ... gests.html

We’re not getting out of this anytime soon. Especially with the Liberals at the helm.
Enjoy.

And there it is. I had a feeling some anti-vaxer bullshit was coming up. I was not disappointed.

Once this damn virus is behind us there obviously needs to be a coldly objective examination world wide at not only government responses but ours as people. We need to know exactly what we all did right and wrong for the next time, which could easily be even more deadly and disastrous if we don’t respond better than we did this time. Anything less than that kind of brutally honest examination would be criminally negligent.

I am curious though, what specifically have the opposition parties said right now that convinces anyone they could do better? Not “they can’t do worse” because yes, they very much can. What exactly is their plan that you think is so much better than the current governments? Because I haven’t heard one. I’ve only heard the usual opposition bullshit criticizing everything the current government is doing which has no place during this emergency. It is the usual sniping from the bushes without the need to actually come up with a plan on their own, implement it and be responsible for it.

If anyone has a demonstrably better plan then sign me up. If not, how about we all get behind this one so the government can sooner identify deficiencies and alter it to what does work?

Why wait Rockie until it is behind us? Here is the solution ever Dr. in Canada will treat anyone who has symptoms immediately, but also offer profilaxis treatment for their family. No need for a PCR test. If someone has a Covid symptom they are treated immediately.

https://covid19criticalcare.com/wp-cont ... VID-19.pdf

https://covid19criticalcare.com/i-mask- ... -protocol/

https://youtu.be/rD-UD4bYvSo

https://medicalxpress.com/news/2021-01- ... adian.html

It also looks like India will not allow Pfizer vaccine which makes me wonder why is that exactly.

https://m.dw.com/en/india-pfizer-withdr ... a-56462616

The world should be following India’s lead as they are winning against Covid. Why is North America not following the success of India? Answer is drug companies will make no money.

Vaccines in Canada will take years I agree. If Dr.’s treat patients and then number of hospitalization and deaths drop this is the only way to fix the economy and the aviation industry. Look it up India has 112 deaths per million the U.S. 1426 deaths per million. North America will not allow for a treatment option however as if one existed then no emergency use authorization would exist.

The criminal act is allowing 1300 per million people die unnecessarily when each and every day study after study shows effective treatment options that would end this over night.

But back to PCR tests why are they even being used when they do not even work.

Tell us again why you aren't running Canada's Covid 19 war room? You seem to have all the answers.
This info is widely available and some is basic knowledge. I doubt that their "war room" is there to help us anyhow. They never said one word about how to improve your health in order to better your immune system against COVID-19. Some of the major COVID comorbidities are diabetes, pulmonary problems, and cardiovascular issues brought on by a high sugar, sedentary lifestyle. Cut the comorbidities and cut the risk. Or just keep stuffing faces with HFCS and potato chips and wish for the next pharmaceutical miracle.
Co-morbidity is a well talked about issue, in fact you’d have to have been asleep for the last year to have missed it.
Question, what is more likely to happen first, the obesity pandemic is over or mass vaccination?
I can’t believe this needs to be discussed, plenty of health issues have been talked about to improve the outcome but in your mind people should just snap their fingers and be healthy, they must’ve found a cure for diabetes by now!
Everyone from childhood knows that one of the major risks of an unhealthy lifestyle is early death. Diabetes, obesity, and other first-world ailments are generally self-induced unhealthy states. Having an unhealthy lifestyle massively increases risk of death from diseases that a fit person could withstand with few, if any, symptoms. You know the risks, and it shouldn't be my or my family's problem that you need extensive government measures to survive your gluttonous lifestyle.
Additionally, I don't believe in this boomer-tier living forever nonsense. People get old, they get sick, and they perish. That's how it goes. That's how it's always went. No more being cool, cruising the hamburger stand, and listening to the Beach Boys until the end of time.

Edit: When I say your, it's in general, not directed at you personally.

How do we decide who deserves health care or not based on their lifestyle and age Reservetank? Some kind of “death panel”?

He didn't say that. He said that people need to take responsibility for their own choices and welfare. I realize this is an unfamiliar concept to most self-proclaimed progressives. Plunging the entire population into economic ruin and despair to slightly improve the odds for an exceedingly slim minority is quite foolish.

Just for the record, my 62 year old, morbidly obese, asthmatic and type II diabetic sister caught COVID from my niece. Both came through it fine and said it was just a really bad cold.

You’re right, it isn’t the common cold. It’s a really bad cold that has done what really bad colds have always done; expedite the departure of those who were already on the verge of death and just making the rest of us miserable for two weeks. COVID, like climate change, is a moderate-sized issue that certain parties have used as a battering ram to push political agendas.
You need to spend some time around people affected by this virus. It is not anything near a bad cold, but something much worse. I know several people who are fighting long covid symptoms. It has had a severe effect on their quality of life.

I wish you had said that at the very beginning. Your diabetic, asthmatic morbidly obese 62 year old sister and your niece only had really bad cold systems. What's the BFD then? Let's just call this thing over and get back to normal.

Ok, find me some peer reviewed papers that show the rate and severity of long term COVID effects. The floor is yours.

We're talking about people being immunocompromised due to being very old and/or (self-induced) sick already. That's the demographic affected by COVID, which isn't debateable. We're not talking about "deciding" someone's death, but we shouldn't be altering our entire lives because of people who weren't going to be with us that long anyhow. Do you think you should trade your life's work and savings because we live among heroin, hamburger, and soda addicts? Is it worth it so grandpa can "live" in a miserable care facility for a few more months?

I totally agree with you that you need to take responsibility for living as healthy a life as you can.
I don't believe in this boomer-tier living forever nonsense.
I wonder if you'll have this same opinion though when you're in your seventies

Accepting one's own mortality is not very popular in today's mass culture. What would be revolutionary for most is to walk through life unafraid. We're bombarded with fear and youth "culture" 24/7. I never connected with it, so I don't see myself changing opinions.
