Nope, I’d be calling in rich the day I won the lottery, I might consider offering a couple grand to anyone wanting to cover my shift!ant_321 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 9:39 amI love my JOB. But it’s still a job. I’d rather not have to work. Nearly everybody is in it for the money in every profession. You don’t see many people keep working after they win the powerball.munzil wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 7:46 amant_321 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 7:31 am
I mostly just feel sad for people working past 65. If you have to for financial reasons that is sad. Even worse is choosing to because you haven’t made a life outside of work that you look forward to getting to enjoy more after retirement. I love my job and can’t imagine doing anything else but I can’t wait to retire and have more time to do the other things I love. I plan on retiring before 60.
"I love my job and can’t imagine doing anything."
"I can’t wait to retire and have more time to do the other things I love"
Apart from the conflicting statements, if you can't wait to retire, you should just leave your job now. Sounds like you are only in it for the money
I am literally working towards retirement, that is how life works, I’m just lucky enough to enjoy my job, at the end of the day that’s what it is, a job! I’m sure the CEOs of the world are also, just in it for the money and looking toward their golden retirement!
I would think the majority of those working past 65 are doing it because they have a need to, not because they want to.
