How about this to end the subject on a good note & hit a thousand post...

For all X C6 or current C6 people.....what were your greatest memories from C6 back when scheduled flights were up & running?

Mine...well....it does not reflect good times at C6, but I will never forget it.

"Sometime last year in an early July mourning, we were boarding a charter flight to Cayo CoCo (I think??). All pax were boarded early and everything was working perfectly.
Well everything except the crew who showed up 20 minutes late. Their excuse & I quote from an FA, "this airport is too big. Somebody should have warned us??"

Anyways....everybody is boarded when all of a sudden an FA comes up to me and tells me, "ahhh we don't have any toilet paper here & somebody stole our coffee kettles?" OHH SH*$@!!!

I call CARA & Globe ground for toilet paper 20 times with no success.... I think they were busy with a TS or AC flight??
I dash from gate 61 all the way to gate 47 to steal 1 kettle from an arriving flight from YHZ.....

I search all over the place for toilet paper.....the Captain comes on our talk radios & orders me to find Paper immediately.
I go in the bathrooms to steal from there, but the paper was all locked up. With my radio, I try smashing the plastic piece to get the paper out...with no luck??

Last resort...cuz the flight was already 20 minutes late at this point.....I negotiate with a waitress for a rough brown roll of paper. The kind that you use to absorb your hands with, not to wipe your ass with!! Janitors use it!

Anyways.....I ended up lying to the waitress promising her that I would bring it back. Run to the gate and tell the FA this is all I could get....she looked at me like this  ....then said were going!

Conclusion....people were on a 4-5 flight and the only toilet paper available on the flight was a brown roll of rough cleaning paper!
After a small investigation, I found out that the Globe Cleaners (who were responsible for restock, did not know were to get supplies).....I reported this to the station manager right away..

This happened a couple of times after also!!
"

Enjoy.......I have more if you guys liked it!

Whenever anyone has something important or relevant to post; please do. I still would be interested to find out whether these NG's are fact or fiction. It would be nice to see the commitment from IMP to the CJ operation if they do confirm the leases of new aircraft. I heard that there was an internal memo regarding these plans. Anyone?

Fact or fiction? We'll all believe it when we actually see the airplanes being boarded. Two newsletters came out. One announcing the plans to replace the fleet with NG's, starting this December. Transport has approved us to be crossed trained on both NG's and Classics. In other words, get the differences training on the NG and still be able to hop on the Classic.
The second newsletter announced that the NG's will be equipped with the latest on board entertainment equipment and blended winglets.
More rumours are surfacing about the summer schedule, that is, Europe. Starting to sound like a Sunwing business plan.
Those are some facts. More to come I'm sure.

Be interesting to see a CanJet paint scheme on an NG... same thing I guess with some logos on the winglets, and the 737-500 is a classic already? So what are the 200's? "Old and decrepid?"

I was at Boeing's Renton factory last week and the video they had refered to the 300/400/500's as classics. I don't recall what the 100/200's were called.

The NG's, the Classics, and the Jurassics.

I don't understand??? What is the point of getting NG's

To enable C6 to reach dest. like SXM or other charters??

Longer range, more fuel efficient, and lower maintenance costs (I'd assume)?

Well it would, in theory allow much longer flight lengths for C6, I know there's been talk that YYT is getting more charter service, and with the recent expansions in YDF maybe there as well?

An NG would allow good operating range to Mexico and such from NFLD... just a thought.

On a range issue, I would agree! But not so much on a cost basis..

Although the NG is more cost efficient in most aspects, the cost of ownership is way higher then their 500s. Keep in mind that C6 is also leasing the 500s or cheap.
Lease rates are most probably three to four times higher with the NG's..

to the more important issue, will someone actually host a party? I'm only 3 hours from Halifax, so I'd be down for some beers with a few of the clowns on here.

Hmm, ol Kenny loses his shirt on CJ2. Then he thinks to himself "If I buy 737NG's then WestJet has to buy CJ, then I could recoup all the losses from the second time!"

Somebody always bails out Kenny when the going gets rough, I'm sure he's right miffed it didn't happen this time! :( :(

Brilliant

GO KENNY!!! :D :D

Alright...uncle Kenny is a success!
But he should keep to the I.M.P stuff!

Not starting an airline in a region where there are only two million epople spread out!
