I'm surprised you didnt pop a Russian Reversal in there.

In America, you travel by plane.... in Russia, plane travels by YOU!

.... and the next moment, the pilot let the clutch out in reverse gear, and voila, the engines were running!

Not only in Russia though... Back in the day, when I worked for deHavilland, I was one of seven people present at the completion of painting of Dash 8 serial number 1 on the Sunday evening. It had somehow been put into the paint hangar in a way that a tug could not get around to hook it up. So it had to be pushed out by hand. Between us, we did it....

In late 1970 we were parking Mobil Olis DC3 beside another airplane at a lodge in Northern Sask. and we ended up about a foot to short to get the wing past the other airplane, however our passengers all helped push it back far enough to get by the other airplane.

The passengers were the President of Mobil Oil and Anwar Sadat, his body guards and about five women.

They thought it was a great experience.

After over a half a century of flying no one ever died because of my decision not to fly.

Back in 1990, I got stuck in about 2 feet of slush while turning a bit wide on skis. The local aboriginals came to help me out. I had one ski-doo tied to each gear leg, 6 people pushing the struts, and me running the engine as fast as I safely could
We got out. Lucky it was only a Cessna 180. The locals were laughing at me a bit
