wow, at 28 sec. you see the damage to the wing is quite extensive. I'm amazed he landed it.

Zlin 50's - Czech built, these ones have Lycoming AEIO-540s. Flown by the "Flying Bulls Aerobatic Team", Classic airshow formation aerobatics. Nothing to do with the "Red Bull Air Race" group aside from sponsor.

Basically, IAC/ICAS require you to wear a chute when taking part in competitions or air displays in North America. However, I understand it to be optional at air displays in the UK, and some other European countries, but most performers do wear them. Trying to stuff a "XL" sized pilot into a "S" sized cockpit is probably the most common reason to not wear a chute.
