Ornge FO Schedule
I see in their ad they list the work hours (nights, weekends, etc) but does anyone know what the rotation is? Is it like some operators where the schedule is 2 weeks on/off? Anyone know what the salary is?
Thanks

Re: Ornge FO Schedule
The schedule is 4 on 4 off, and depending on which base you want/get, it could be a combination of 4 days 4 off 4 nights 4 off or 2 days, 2 nights 4 off. Each shift is 12 hours long, Day Shifts are 7AM-7PM and Night Shifts are 7PM-7AM. You need to be at work for the full 12 hours even if there are no medevacs on the board. It is pretty rare to go in for a shift and not go flying, maybe once-three times a month if that, depending on the base and a bunch of other factors. The 3 bases are CYQT, CYTS and CYXL. 10 PC-12 NG's.

Re: Ornge FO Schedule
That sure is more civilized than some medevac companies that are on call 24-7.
Seems a little safer giving people a window where they can guarantee a known rest period. Some medevac companies run on call 24-7 and will call pilots out on day five for a 14 hour duty run, just as their eyes closed in bed. Doable, but it isn't pretty.
