I am looking into applying for an AME position at NWAL in Fort Smith. What is the wage for a freshly licensed AME (M1,2) at this place. What is the town like ?

Great Company to work for but, well, little pay.
Fourth year apprentice 16.00/hr, newly licensed AME (M1-M2) 18.00-19.00 dollars per hour as per DOM statement. With ACA on Jetstreams 31 you get 21.50 per hour. This is not a money making position but the owners are are nice folks. Hope this helps.

Good company, I heard that the pay for AMEs has gotten better, if you are a good sharp AME you will be recognised, might have to negotiate a bit. Also heard they are expanding, so they are a good company to work for.

Any word on if they are hiring low time 250 hr pilots? IF so, anybody have any contact info on the company or know somebody?

Thanks.

Yes they do and they go flying after a year or so of ramp work. Jetstreams and B99. There is a guy right now who had (I think) about 220 hours and got hired to become a pilot. Great company for pilot job applicants but there are pol;itics involved and it helps if you know somebody there (really well that is) and if you are a company person or likely want to take off doing your own thing in the future. They want people to stay in Fort Smith - which is by far not for everyone. The town I mean. But hey, if you are young and just want to get your feet wet, this may be the best company for the moment. You must work for the company as you seem to know a lot about them.
