C-210 ???

Post by Abel.DPL »

Hello everybody I am writing because I am in need of your help; I am looking for a Cessna 210 to rent for a couple of hours. If any of you own a C-210 or knows somebody who would be willing to rent his or hers any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am a fresh commercial pilot with a grp 1 IFR and a small 450 hours (250hours in the past six months). I am finishing a season as a jump pilot in Western Canada. I have a second job lined up starting December in Namibia (Southern Africa) but I need a "QT" on a C-210. There are no QT's for 210 in Canada as it is not a complex aircraft so what this future employer wants to see is just an hour PIC time on a 210. It is possible to rent a 210 in Namibia to get trained on but the price is not accessible for a young Comm pilot.

It does not matter to me where the plane is, I can travel. I finish my season mid October.
I can send more info about me should you require more or even my resume.

If you feel like helping out please do! If you cant, thank you anyway.

Travelling anywhere in Canada to get an hour of pic in a 210 is cheaper than renting one in Namibia for an hour when you will already be going there? What am I missing here?

Try adventure aviation in Grande Prairie, they had a P210, but I don't know if he would train you in it, but worth a call.

Northern Waterworks had a C210 out of Red Lake. Superior would be the guys to call to arrange.

Call Northwestern Air in Fort Smith 867 872-3030. Ask for Brian or Laurie. They have a 210 and they will do a good job for you.

I have a T210 in Victoria, BC -- I'll spend a day with you and go through the systems, numbers, emergencies etc. You'll get more than an hour's PIC BS in a logbook and actually know stuff when you're there to impress and keep yourself safe.

I'll put in a good word for cessnafloatflyer ^.. Lots of good experience, and was always helpful with tips and pointers, even when I was working for 'the competition.'

In Namibia every flights schools knows that young pilots go there for work and that none of them ever flew a 210. They are then the only alternative for a check-ride and they will bleed you dry for it...
