Sitting in the parking lot of the Aviation Museum last night while this little drama played out some time after 1900...
From my vantage point, it looked like the port landing gear got stuck in the soft ground while taxiing from the cargo ramp to Runway 31. The pilot appeared to waggle the rudder and increase thrust attempting to get un-stuck, but no such luck.
A couple minutes later the place was a kicked-over ant-hill with Fire Department, FedEx rampies, airport vehicles and at least one large tug clustered around N443FE. Hard to tell from my crap iphone picture, but I'm guessing from the reflective vest-clad group gathered around the port engine shortly afterwards that the port engine may have been resting on the ground. I left around 2030 to pick up Missus Mark_Space, so I have no idea how this turned out...looked like a job for Jamie Davis Towing!

Capt. Vernon Demerest
and clear that runway!
Mel Bakersfeld
Snow desk, Mobile One.
Unknown
This is snow desk. Go ahead, Mel.
Mel Bakersfeld
Danny, listen carefully. Break the conga line.
Send the heavy plows across to runway two-niner.
They're to head for stuck airplane and await instruction.
Unknown
Roger.
Conga leader, snow desk.
Joe Patroni
Yeah, that's it.
On this side, get close under the wheel.
Whack it on the other side.
Mel Bakersfeld
Keep monitoring Chicago Central and ground control.
If you hear anything important, honk.
Tanya Livingston
Right.
Joe Patroni
What's with the plows?
Mel Bakersfeld
If you can't move this plane, they will.
Joe Patroni
Shove an undamaged airplane with snowplows?
Unknown
Are you out of your mind?
Mel Bakersfeld
No. I'm out of runways.
Joe Patroni
Think of what this baby costs.
Mel Bakersfeld
I'm thinking of that planeload of people.
This runway is their only hope.
Joe Patroni
If those snowplows rip it apart,
chunks of fuselage will be everywhere.
Mel Bakersfeld
It's a chance I've got to take.
Joe Patroni
OK, but you keep those toys out of my hair...
and away from this airplane for 15 minutes.
Maybe less. I'll drive it out.
Mel Bakersfeld
Joe, let's get one thing straight.
