A big thanks to a fellow aviator. He was deadheading YWG-YQR on AC845 Monday 21 December
My wife and 5 year old were flying out to YYC to meet me for Christmas. It was his first flight on a commercial plane. This pilot took the time to say hi to my son talk about his first flight. Then he gave my Son the AC wings off his uniform.
Four days later he has not taken the wings off.
You made Christmas travel way more special than any crap or iPad game he brought to entertain himself to along the way.
Thank you and Merry Christmas

Re: Wings for Christmas
You hear a lot of negative stuff about the employees of various flag-waving airlines but in my experience there are some truly excellent professional pilots out there. All of us who fly for a living should take note.

Yeah. That's a real gentlemanly gesture, all the way. Well done to whoever that pilot was. There are some really good guys out there. Thanks for telling us about this, and I'm glad your wife and boy were able to join you for Christmas.
If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself
