Anybody get a call from Sunwing for an interview this June?

The calls have been going out. I believe all internal recommends

Yeah I was surprised to get the call even though there wasn't a posting yet...

Did know they were hiring, there's no posting. Are they hiring only from internal reference ?

Must be. Only people I know with interviews are those with solid internal references. Especially since there's no posting

There was an internal email months ago asking for recommendations of potential candidates. I believe they are planning to hire everyone from that pool this year, hence there hasn't been a posting since they have enough internal recommends.

That could change if they require additional people for the winter season beyond what they currently have in the internal pool.

I got the phone call 3 weeks ago, my interview is next week. I confirm that I had an internal reference and I know another pilot in the same situation as me. I'm really exited ! Sunwing Airline is most likely the best gig for a guy like me. Solid wealthy company with opportunity to be base in so many different places every year !

Any Sunwing guys in the know as to how many sunwing is hiring this year ? and if there are still more phone calls to go out to internal referrals for interviews? Or has everyone who will be contacted already been called.

50-60 pilots. Classes Aug, Sept, Oct. They conducted interviews last week. I'm not sure if they're done.

I was told they stopped interviews end of July. Anyone know if they have started calling chosen candidates?

2 peoples and myself got an interview in June and we are still waiting for some feedback. Any info or discussion we could start ? hahaha I'm dying here

I was interviewed beginning of June 2015, and received the offer mid August 2015 for a start date September 1st 15.

I was also interviewed in June along with a couple of buddies and we where told that calls would start not before July 15th

I heard that SW may have lost a bid on the USA to Caribbean and Mexico contract and therefore they would not be hiring as many pilots as planned. Not a good news but it might just be rumours.

All of the recent announcements about summer packages for Vacation Express have been air portion by carriers other than Sunwing. Not sure what is going on.

Vac Exp is a part of the SW pyramid, if they went with another airline for the lift it was a strategic decision.

For what it's worth, I heard that the hiring process is on hold... Not sure why... Can anyone shed light on this matter?

I think the hiring hold has something to do with this.. Sunwing may have lost this contract to Norwegian.

Without Apple Vacations flying this winter, plus uncertainty out west, and in all likelihood another soft winter for southern bookings, I think the company is reevaluating their requirements.

i guess this is gone have an impact as well on the upgrade for next winter?(especially if they are bringing back the foreign pilots,?)
There were expected&supposed to release another bid by july for the upgrade..but so far no news.

Anyone got a call for a gs yet? Still waiting on my side...any kind of news regarding the hiring would be apreciated!
