Phew! Actually, considering he sued the University of Manitoba for granting a PhD to a student with a learning disability (whom he didn't teach, supervise or otherwise work with) http://www.canlii.org/en/mb/mbqb/doc/20 ... qb203.html he probably wouldn't still be teaching at the U of M.

And for the record, having the media find out about a lawsuit before being served is a non-issue. The lawsuit gets filed in a public court registry and anyone can go to a court registry and go through court files (unless they have been sealed by a separate court order). It is not uncommon to have reporters go to a court registry to see what new cases have been filed. In most provinces, plaintiffs have a year to serve defendants in a lawsuit and, especially if Mr. Lukacs is out of the country, service would be easier to be effected after he returns to Canada.

I'm all for passengers ensuring airlines play by the rules, but I am not a fan of Mr. Lukacs' tactics.

In Gabor's defense, he has done a lot behind the scenes getting people correct lost-luggage allowances and compensation, and other sorts.

Still someone I don't think i'd like to hang out with though.
