How are pilots upgraded through the fleet at CMA? Do you go 1900 Captain to Dash 8/D 328 First Officer, and then Dash 8/D 328 Captain? Or do you go from First Officers on the bigger machine to Captain on the 1900 and then Captain on the bigger machines? Thanks.

Do you want to fly at CMA for a long time? If you want to fly at an airline you can take whatever position they give you say the 1900 and the way things are going in a year you'll be at Sky/Encore/Jazz etc.

There is no written rule for upgrading or switching type. It is up to HR, and the 704 and 705 CPs.
Most 705 captains are former B1900 captains.
