C-150 to Florida
I have a C150 thats needs to be flown from Alberta to Florida this spring.....drop me a pm. Looking for a pilot who is interested in some time building - guessing approximately 30hrs of flight time.
Re: C-150 to Florida
Beware.........could be a smuggling operation. I've seen this before with young pilots who get caught off guard.
Re: C-150 to Florida
Are there a lot of narcotics sourced in Alberta that need to go to Florida? Kilos of illict Alberta beef perhaps? Diamonds, from the Alberta diamond mines?
DId you hear the one about the jurisprudence fetishist? He got off on a technicality.

Do it yourself? It'd be a hoot. I took a 150 from Toronto to the Bahamas for two weeks many years ago. Total good time.

I might just do the trip myself...it would be an experience with the Mrs.!! Probably take 4 or 5 easy days in good weather. I did ferry a 402 down a couple years ago and that took 3 days.

Fresh out of my Private Pilot License at Voyageur Airways in 1977; I took off for the Florida Cays in one of Max's Cherokee 140's to build time for my commercial. Brought my wife...ok, that was 3 wives ago.... Still owned by Bradley's back then. Anyhow, it was a hoot. Heading there with 55 hours TT to build time. Nothing in the back but a tent and a sleeping bag!
I think they still talk about me in the MIA ACC.

Pity, our days of doing trips like that are in the past. That's what general aviation should be!
