What Goes Up: Jerry Foster (great read)

Post by CL-Skadoo! »

"The daredevil, his helicopter, the risks of flying too high and the birth of modern news"

This is a very long read, but a truly well-written item worth a look.
If you're waiting on your connection, for your passengers to show up or a pilot to break something, this is a great way to pass the time.

It's written in a Tom Wolfe/Norman Mailer style and after a few pages I thought I was reading fiction, but a search reveals Jerry Foster is a real guy who was quite famous in the southwestern USA.

His own book, "Earthbound Misfit" might be worth a read. He's quite a character. Thank you, CL-Skadoo!, for posting the link.
