Aircraft Rentals in the Lower Mainland
Hey Guys and Gals, Im looking to take my girlfriend out on a special date. I live in Langley and have been shopping around for a decent flight school to take out a rental plane. Looking for a school with single engine aircraft, with a good reputation, and good availability. Anyone had an experience or any recommendations?
Cheers

Any airport in particular? Assuming you are licensed, you'll still have to do a check flight with which ever school you decide to rent from...
Langley has Skyquest and Langley Flying School. There's also another school there, originally from Chilliwack, with a colourful reputation.
Pitt Meadows has Pacific Rim, Island Coastal, and Montair. The first two are relatively busy most of the time, so rental may be a bit difficult at times - and both have smaller fleets of a/c. I wouldn't bother with Montair, they're in the international student game - I doubt they'd want to rent to anyone.
Boundary Bay has a bunch of schools, most have larger fleets of aircraft - which could be better for a renter. But, it's Boundary Bay, so you've got to consider the flight time to get out of Delta, and the airport can be bloody busy.

If you live in Langley, Langley airport is the place to start. Talk to SkyQuest and LFS.

Thanks for the feedback, yes I am licensed and figured I'd be doing a check flight where ever I go. The last time I dealt with LFS the planes were generally booked up, Ill give SkyQuest a shout.

Langley Flying School has Cherokee 140 Cruisers although they are a bit dated looking as most aircraft from that era are. Maybe she would prefer a Diamond or 172S.

The only real experience I have is with Langley Flying School on their Cherokee 150 Cruisers. I like the place but the Pipers are a bit dated looking as most aircraft from that era are. Maybe she would prefer a Diamond or 172S.

If you are looking to impress, you can't go wrong with renting out of Squamish at Glacier Air. Or just book a tour with Sea to Sky Air and ask if they will let you fly left seat since you are licensed.

Ask for a "you fly". Flying up at squamish and the area is not like flying in the lower mainland.
