Mysterious Disappearance of Peace Air Topic
Am I the only one who has noticed that the topic 'Peace Air vs. Air Sprint' has just disappeared? I have been reading it over the last few days and I did not think that anything that had been said warranted the posts removal. Whats the deal with censorship on this forum?
Frankly I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did... if you're employed by a company, why would you publicly bash them online? It doesn't help anybody, not even the person posting it. There's no way to verify the validity of any of the information posted, so even IF the poster says they work for said company, there's no way to know that for sure
I think there's a legal term for that thread, its called "slander", and you can get in some serious doo doo for doing it.
Whoever made those posts that resulted in the thread being pulled is obviously ignorant of that.

This is not the first Peace Air posting that has been removed.
For all the stuff being said on here about PA, it is pretty amazing that no body has disagreed with any of the the info posted about them.
Hmmmm, seem to think that that would lead to the fact that the people that do or have worked for them that do post, seem to agree.
And for the fact of bashing, as it has been called - could just be information being passed on to the unknowing, in hopes of them being able to make a more informed decision on where they may be willing to go and work, without thinking they are in an LA sweatshop.
nice to know there is something called the Freedom of Speech.
Not saying the mod's shouldn't be keeping this respectfull at the same time.
Good luck to all trying to make a good decision on where they want to work.

oh well
There is a lot of validity in stuff said. Unfortunately for those who think it will change, it might a bit. It hasn't for years. But if it will like some say it will, it still wont be a respectable change. It is unfortunate that ppl have to come on sites like here and vent. I figure it is good. ppl in companies like that need to vent to fellow pilots. relieves frustration and gets different perspectives. I know most of the ppl there. I know why people leave. I also know who defends it and why.
I look at it compared to the industry. Trust me they have a long way to go. They need to realize, unless another 911 happens (God forbid), they need to change faster and more drastically then they are willing.

To those who are complaining to the moderators to get the posts removed (if you are the company being complained about).
Here is just a thought. Mayby, just mayby you should start reading some of these comments and take them to heart. You may realize that there are things wrong with your company (s) and that if you actually listen to your employees, gosh who know's mayby some of them will stay and mayby you won't be one of the company's being complained about on here.
I don't know, but from the people that I know who are happy with where they are, I never see any comments about there company's on here.
I could make more comments about PA, but whats the point, they arn't listening and they will just have them removed anyways...

Busted: Very good point. Many of the very best companies in canada will never grace this forum. Why? Mainly because this forum is used as an area to vent. No one seems to need to vent about a company that treats them fairly, pays them fairly, gives them time off, and above all gives them respect.

If this is such a great company why have they had 6 pilots quite in the last month and a half and another couple with interviews or sim evals here.
Heard the Jetstream CP just quite to go and fly a metro!
The best part of these are that they are mostly sidways moves and not for bigger just better......

Busted;
Don't worry, I'm sure the company's Safety Management System has noted all the reports posted on here and will be analysing them with a view to incorporating appropriate corrective actions.
Also, to the moderators: Maybe AvCanada is part of the organization's safety monitoring and non-punitive reporting system.
I'm sure there is nothing to worry about. As Check Pliot says SMS will help all these super operators become valuable corporate citizens, just as TC has envisioned.
