I’m seeing that, I don’t understand why they keep rates so low? I don’t think I can wait around for wages to go up, from what I’m reading these wages will never increase

I hear that Porter has just increased their pay substantially approx 7$/hr. Does anyone have their pay scale to share? Smart move to get and retain some talent especially since Encore has moved to the Westjet AMO and are receiving a much better payscale now. The sharing of pay scales is what will help push our industry’s wages up to where they belong.

So what does that $7 bring the wage to?

It seems like pay-scale is very secretive with most employers. The ones I’ve found through interview process are really discouraging. I don’t think I want to do this anymore

7 dollars an hour. So now it’s 27 dollars an hour, to live in Toronto, work nights and get abused. Maybe you get a day off on your birthday or a free parking spot or better yet…..benefits like every other minimum wage and above worker in Canada. Joke. But it’s so passionate and rewarding…not.

It’s disgusting, the wages are beyond insulting and they’re still crying shortage 😂

This thread needs updating or revival. Seeing wages on indeed but the spread of $25-70/hr (in the same job ad with the same requirements) seems very disingenuous and a bit of employer chumming for workers going on. Any updates on wages, fixed wing and rotary alike?

Can you imagine making 35 dollars an hour in 2022 as a licences AME to “have fun in the North”. Well Alkan Air seems to think that’s acceptable. I made more money than that 15 years ago “to have fun in the North”. I am hoping that was a typo. All travel, accommodations etcetera were covered back then too plus per diem. What a joke aviation is. Good luck to all that apply in convincing yourself you are “having fun in the North” and you also get to be “on call”. I am ever grateful I am out of that slimy industry. Pathetic.
