Little Red Air is currently looking for a qualified Chief Pilot. We run a sound operation, treat our people fairly, work a good schedule, and fly well maintained clean aircraft. Specifically we are looking for an individual that is able to grow our SOP's, run the training department, and be a mentor to our many young pilots.

You're still looking? The ads been in here for quiet a while. Little Red has a good rep. I'd have thought you'd be swamped with resumes? You may be running into the problem that everybody qualified is headed to Jaz, etc? Good luck with it......great position for the right person, to be sure.

Doc,

Over 1500 hits on the ad, an advertisment in a major aviation publication, and in over 3 weeks nary a resume. It would be a fantastic position for the right person. The search continues......

The question comes to mind ... what happened to the last chief pilot?

I would be interested in a job like that, but for the location. That's your big negative I think.

Our current Chief Pilot, who has been with us for a long time, is heading onward and upward. Not for me to say where, but his next airplane will have a F/A.

hey pushy boss, I see you're still looking for pilots. How many hours are you looking for someone on the 206? I saw on your website 1500tt and 500mpic but was wondering if that stands for the 206 also.

Thanks a lot

Sounds like a great gig. I'd kill to fly the 206. Would it be advantageous to show up on the doorstep in the next few days?

Do you have any experience flying a 206?

The reason they want higher time is because they want to move the 206 driver up the ladder...hence, onto the multi-IFR equipment. This way, after the pilot gets bored of flying single-piston-VFR, as most do, they can keep that pilot in the company and get the most out of him, while offering multi-turbine time.

Never say never, but the fact is, someone with time on type is going to apply.

hey, no time on a 206 but about 150 on a 208 with 900tt. So you're thinking they are in fact looking for that 1500? I assumed the high time for future king air upgrade but was hoping to get an idea.

I remember a while back they said if you don't apply exactly as instructed you would never be allowed to apply again. So be sure not to offend anyone. You would hate to burn the bridge to High Level too early in your career.

phillyfan - Not to worry about that. Different management now

fixed pitch - Not looking for Van drivers right now, just King Air, 206 and Dispatch. Time on type is an asset but not necessary.

A mulit-IFR is a must because you can move up very quickly onto the King Air.
