What to expect with a 1000FH in 2019 ?

Post by DamienVDN »

Hello everyone !
So that's it, just past the 1000 step, working the whole summer on a twin piston until September and wondering what can I expect after that.
I was thinking about starting my SARON/SAMRA studies but should I wait for more experience before doing so ?

If you have any tips to share I would be glad to read them.

Cheers !

Saron Samra would be the logical next step yes. No reason to wait. Was it mpic? Or FO time?

thanks for the answer. 800 pic, around 250 twin by september but no multi crew experience (only single pilot IFR). I've heard that companies ask for that multi crew experience...

No, not ones looking at guys at the 1000hr mark. It may look favourably, but it won't hurt you. You have plenty of PIC time for your atpl's that's what they want to see. Easy ability to upgrade when the time comes.

I'm on it ! I'm actually gathering all the material needed and I am only missing the Aerocourse books now (used recent version ones). If you guys know someone who successfully passed and wants to get rid of them feel free to plug me :)
