Aircraft for rent
Hi everyone,
I’m currently selling block time on a Cherokee 180 to the folks at Jazz who need PIC time for their ATPL.
If anyone from Encore would like to do the same then please PM me.
Aircraft is at Springbank.
$150 to be put on the insurance.
$75 per hour DRY.
GARMIN GTX225 Radio.
GARMIN Aera 660 panel mounted GPS.
Thanks

Encore has PIC US. So I would be surprised if people paid for PIC block time.PICAir wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 7:28 pm Hi everyone,

That's a pretty good deal for anyone who needs some PIC time.

Re: Aircraft for rent
For which you have to already have 150 hours PIC and you have to fly 200 hours to obtain the 100 hours because PICUS can only be credited at 50%. Not a problem for most on the property I should think, but once those mystical 250-hour wonder pilots show up, who knows.Correct. 100hrs total for PICUS
Also you have to do it within 12 months of the application for your ATPL, and the FO shall be outside of their first year with the company, and the Captain has to have spent a minimum number of months in the seat, and the Captain has to be through to LOFT, and the Captain shall determine suitability.
That's a lot of "and's" that have to be met. I think it's a great program and will happily do it with any FO, but I know there are people out there saying no to it - and good on them too; it's not worth participating if the FO is getting nothing out of it.
I'd think there might be one or two FO's who might take the OP up on the offer. Heck, I wouldn't mind driving a Cherokee 180 around again if I didn't think I'd be served divorce papers the second I did it.
Re: Aircraft for rent
Few more "and's" than I was aware of, however I won't be one of the ones using the program. Good to know though.
