Freelance flight instruction

Long time lurker, first time poster.

After many years dreaming of flying for a living, I've decided (at a ripe old age of 35) that it's time for a career change. I've saved a good amount of money that will let me fly as much as I can so hopefully, I can get my CPL and various ratings within a year or so.

There seems to be a few threads here that suggest that the best way to train is to hire a freelance instructor. I don't own an aircraft but I could probably be convinced to team up and buy shares of one, if need be. Would you guys suggest going that route or will it be much easier to just do it in a regular flight school?

Easier to go to a flight school. More rewarding to team up and buy an airplane.

Where are you?

Sending you a PM too, it's a tad late, however I'm hoping I can convince you that there are other options than a flight school...

If you can buy a share and find a decent instructor, i would go that route. I did register with the school but I havent gotten to far in my training. If you can find a freelance instructor... go that route...
