Lakehead Flying School

Post by RLiving »

I was a student at the Lakehead Flying School in the early 1980s. Mr. Wieber had sold to Kuldip Singh before I learned to fly. And obtain my private license on YYN a Cessna 172. I moved away from Thunder Bay for a number of years and during that time the School closed. Can anyone fill me in on what took place? Liz Wieben has told me that Kuldip Singh died in an aviation accident at some point. Thanks.

Kuldip bought an aviation business here at CYSN, in operation when the accident happened (also in the Eighties), which happened during a trip to a wedding in Winnipeg where they encountered adverse weather southeast of Manitoulin Island.
