"On January 31, 2020, Air Georgian Limited (“Air Georgian” or the “Company”) filed a Notice of Intention to Make a Proposal under subsection 50.4(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (the “BIA”). KPMG Inc. ("KPMG") consented to act as trustee under the proposal. On February 26, 2020, the Company was granted an extension of time to file a proposal to and including March 16, 2020.
On March 16, 2020, the Court approved, among other things, an asset purchase agreement dated March 9, 2020 between the Company and 2746904 Ontario Inc., an entity related to one of the Company’s shareholders (the “Purchaser”), for substantially all of the Company’s assets, properties and undertakings (the “Transaction”). As more fully described in the Second Report of the Proposal Trustee dated March 12, 2020, in exchange for substantially all of the Company’s assets, properties and undertakings, the Purchaser has agreed to assume the Company’s secured debt and certain other obligations. On April 17, 2020 the Company was granted an extension to and including June 1, 2020 to close the Transaction. On May 29, 2020, the Company and the Purchaser closed the transaction.
The deadline for Air Georgian to file a proposal was June 1 2020 and the date has passed without a proposal being filed. As such, Air Georgian Limited is deemed to have made an assignment in bankruptcy pursuant to section 50.4(8)(b) of the BIA (the “Bankruptcy Proceedings”) effective June 2, 2020. KPMG is acting as the trustee-in-bankruptcy (the “Trustee”).
Creditors of Air Georgian Limited will be mailed a Notice of Bankruptcy and Information on the First Meeting of Creditors in due course."
It will be reborn as Pivot Airlines - Version 0.1 of the 'Best Regional Airline in the World'. Beware.

Generally, if it’s something you can count, it’s “fewer”, and if it’s something you can only measure, it’s “less”... so “fewer hours”, but “less time”.

It's.
When used as a contraction, as in, when short for "it is", or "it was", an apostrophe is needed.

So essentially GGN declares bankruptcy, while starting a #'d company. #'d company purchases all assest's at pennies on the dollar while the title GGN goes down in flames.
This reminds me of when Ken Buchannan of Buchannan forest products went down with the lumber tariffs. Transferred all assets which were worth any value to his other company, Mackenzie Forest products and let the shitty ones go in bankruptcy with Buchannan. At auction, Mackenzie goes and buys all the crappy machines for pennies on the dollar and picks up all the operations.

Plus the secured debt. Otherwise the creditors would not have agreed to it. And if the creditors agree to it, what do you care?

What a bizarre language English is. An apostrophe can be used to indicate possession or contraction and there is no rhyme or reason as to when or when not use it. Just have to memorize. I pity people who have to learn English as a second language. Other languages are far more logical without all the exemptions to supposed rules that English has. In school I used to bitch about the accents that French has but eventuality you realize they are there to ensure correct pronunciation. In English we have ridiculous words like “read/lead/live” whose pronunciation changes completely just because of context.

Not sure if this is advanced level sarcasm or not, but the difference between "its" and "it's" is pretty clear. The apostrophe indicates a contraction. Do you have an example of where you find it has no rhyme or reason?
I agree with the pronunciation though, that is quite the challenge sometimes.

Better just go straight to Esperanto then. Other languages also have words that look exactly the same and meaning is decided by context. Personally, I like English; I've been speaking it since about age 1.

Let say one is talking about a dog’s bone. The ‘s indicates possession/ownership. If one replaces the word dog with “ it” , and one says “ it’s bone” , that is contrary to the rule that “it’s” is a contraction of the word “it” and “is”
Also I purposely used “one” instead of “you” in the explanation above to avoid the confusion that exists in English when referring to people in general. In other languages the pronoun equivalent of “one” is always used to generalize thus eliminating the confusion that exists in English(ie think about the number of times someone has used the word “you” in a sentence and you can’t figure out if they about referring to you in particular or anyone in general)

So if Pivot Airlines does an outstanding job how many of you would let go of their Georgian past? Or would you hold it against them forever?
