Cloud type associated with strong jet streamwinds

Post by BodhiWes »

Can anyone explain this to me or give me a good resource for it? I've been reading a lot about it, studies, research papers, but can't seem to find good info on it. All I have found is the cirrostratus is the predominant cloud with Jet which is usually to the south of it, and clear skies to the north. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I snapped this from the ground in Toronto this summer.
