Would pilot notice a dropped load?
Howdy, an Airbus AS-350 B3 has a max load of 3,200lbs..... would it be possible for a pilot to NOT notice a load of 2200lbs dropping during flight? I’m not a pilot and heard this story after a pilot lost his load and came back without the cable or the load.... said he didn’t notice. I would have thought it would be such a significant difference he’d either have to be lying to cover a mistake or.... or I don’t know.....

Depends on how much he had to drink the night before...
Re: Would pilot notice a dropped load?
There is no way you couldn't notice it being gone. Pilot is totally out to lunch and like PanEuropean said, dude is drinking

You would have to be unconscious to not notice a load that big dropping. 50 or 100lbs of load and you might not realize it.hasinvadi48 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 5:59 am Howdy, an Airbus AS-350 B3 has a max load of 3,200lbs..... would it be possible for a pilot to NOT notice a load of 2200lbs dropping during flight? A metric tonne dropping off would upset the aircraft.

Drunk or on drugs, impossible not to notice.
