Air Canada Jazz was a trademark.
Jazz Aviation LP is the current holder of the Air Operator Certificate. It has held an AOC through its predecessors continuously since 1934, just as Air Canada has held an AOC continuously since 1937 (then Trans Canada Airlines).
Who cares about some stupid Wikipedia entry?

Is the industry still ticked off that Air Canada has toyed with people's lives again?
When SkyRegional was created, I remember Jazz pilots being pissed that their jobs were being outsourced.

The reality is unless you work for Air Canada. You are a subcontractor. Subs have far less security. It only extends to the end of the contract.notwhoyouthinkIam wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 6:53 pm Is the industry still ticked off that Air Canada has toyed with people's lives again?

Trying to do a thirty year career at a sub comes with some risk.
Air Canada isn’t “toying” with people’s lives. It’s acting like ever other company that has subcontractors.

What AC does is whatever they can legally get away with, to pay pilots less.
