Transport Canada Contact/ Medical
Hello,
I went for my first Cat 1 medical a few months ago and I still have not heard anything. I have tried contacting TC with the email and number they have on the website but with no response. Does anyone have any advice for getting into contact with them to find the status of my medical?
It is my understanding that the first medical is sent of to the RAMO for assessment. Should I contact them/ does anyone know how to get in touch with them?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Transport Canada Contact/ Medical
I've posted this in another thread concerning the delay with medicals, especially SW Ontario. You'll at least be able to see if they've processed your medical yet: http://avcanada.ca/forums2/viewtopic.ph ... 7#p1142847
You can always check the status of your medical online at https://gart.tc.gc.ca/secure/galro-aglie/aut.aspx
The issuance of a sticker will probably lag behind the online system.
You can see every written exam and flight test (with scores), medical, type ratings, etc going back to the beginning of your first training. Really interesting stuff.

I have tried emailing them here a couple weeks ago and they have not responded yet. I have also tried calling at this number and it goes straight to voicemail.photofly wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 7:03 am email at ONTCivilAviationMedicine-MedecineAeronautiqueCivile@tc.gc.ca

Thanks for the link! That is helpful. Since I do not have my pilots licence yet what should I put for the licence number field? It says it is required o fill in.DHC-1 Jockey wrote: ↑Sat Mar 13, 2021 7:04 am I've posted this in another thread concerning the delay with medicals, especially SW Ontario. Reference the links for checking on the status of your medical, without a licence number to begin with that will not be possible. As far as calling TC Medical, you already know, you will get no response. As far as the email is concerned it will be hit or miss. I am dealing with re-issuance of my medical following licence suspension. 6 months and still waiting. I did attempt to contact TC by email and eventually did manage to get a response, only to say that my file is in the system pending review...hweir wrote: ↑Fri Mar 12, 2021 11:12 am Hello,

Unfortunately there is not much one can do except wait. That wait is also likely to be a long one. Prior to Covid TC Medical was dealing with a huge back log of files to process due to what I understand was a change in processes brought about by a change in management. The reported delay was anywhere from 3 to as much as 8 months. Now with Covid it is anybody's guess as to when they will get their act together.
Good Luck

Thanks for the reply!
Seems absurd to me that it takes them months and months to get back but I suppose that is the way it is. I will keep emailing I suppose and try my best. They should figure out how to manage that better that's for sure.
Thanks again. Take care

Re: Transport Canada Contact/ Medical
I had a few questions for the medical office about renewal after an expiration in this climate. Tried emailing, calling, leaving messages with the Ontario office with no luck getting ahold of anyone. Tried the prairie region and was answered right away. The attendant could pull up my file and answered any questions I had. Was quite helpful and confirmed to me that a telemedicine consultation with my CAME was sufficient for my CAT 1 renewal, completed it last week with my CAME by phone and he provided me with a FIT certificate with stamp.

You can also try emailing the National Office.

I wonder what the longest email address they have anywhere in TC is. Just idle curiosity.

Re: Transport Canada Contact/ Medical
I haven’t had much luck getting ahold of the 4900 Yonge office with phone or email. Then again they’re probably at home like the Prime Moron.

Re: Transport Canada Contact/ Medical
The problem is that it's the ON TC region. They're slow, useless and incompetent, have been for years and seems to get worse every year
Three times I've done my medical and they don't process it or lose it. Ages ago they didn't understand the requirements for ATPL issuance.. really! So went to another region, done. Never had issues with any other region.

Re: Transport Canada Contact/ Medical
Thanks for the help everyone. Seems like Im shit out of luck and just have to keep on waiting.
