Some real data on Pfizer vaccine, peer reviewed in The Lancet

Post by shawnthesheep »

This data came out today May 5, 2021. This is what the CDC and FDA use in the states to lift mask mandates and for guidance. I can totally see them lifting the mask mandate as this shows it cuts infection not just symptoms. Let's hope Canada follows.

Unlike the uneducated prick who posted that fear mongering post let's look at some real data.

Summary:

90% effectiveness (not efficacy because this is real world data) against asymptomatic cases

95 - 97% reduction in symptomatic cases. Scroll all the way down for the breakdown.

94.5% against B.1.1.7 variant

Minimal side effects among hundreds of thousands not just thousands of people, take into account this uses a very large group.

I got mine 2 weeks ago - a bit of fever chill the next day. Kinda like when I recovered from a nasty Flu in January, I had a temperature of 100.5. Between the winds and the fever chills, I had to cancel a flight lesson.

I was fine by noon that day. Not fine enough to fly, but fine.

It was worth it.
