IATRA and Medical

Post by TumbledGyros »

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if a medical is required to write the IATRA? It doesn't specifically mention in the study and reference guide. It does say that you must meet the requirements for the applicable license or rating, but the IATRA is not directly for a license or rating.

The reason I ask is that my medical is being processed with the review board...it should not be a problem for it to be approved but it may have a limitation. Of course with TC...who knows how long this could take. I have a job opportunity that I would really like, yes I need the medical for the job too, but I would really like to get the exam out of the way asap.

Thank you.

I needed to show proof of a Class 1 medical in order to receive an exam date. That was for Victoria, BC in March 2022.
