Hockey for sure, but the Steelers are in the big game, so I'm happy on that fron too....

Definately hockey. Although I want to see what all the fuss about cricket is. That sport seems to have the potential to be interesting once I get past the strange rules and stranger uniforms.

No question, hockey is far and away the greatest sport to watch and play. Football is better than alot of the other things out there that pass for "sports" (NASCAR, curling, golf, poker, darts, bowling, etc.) but it's still only slightly more exciting than baseball only because there is contact. They are both played at roughly the same painfully slow tempo. The real football

is more exciting than what we call football (although still a distant second to hockey!)

Hockey for sure!! However, I'm pretty tired of seein' the Leafs every sat at 4:00!!
I saw a guy on a poker website tv ad comparing himself to a pro athlete the other day!! That was a good one...

I played both and love them both, but as a good canadian lad I've gotta go with hockey being better. Its faster and more fun to watch.
That being said nothing quite compares to the intensity of opening kickoff of a big game under the lights.

Football - as played everywhere in the world, except in North America (where it's called "soccer") is one of the best .... closely tied with rugby.

Football - in Notrh America, where a bunch of lard asses dress up in more armour than soldiers in a combat zone, play for a few seconds and then need to stop for a break; is crap.

Hockey is better now than it was leading up to the lock-out, because they are actually playing actual hockey more - and boxing less.

That said, in an ideal world summer sports would be played during the summer, and winter sports in the winter. You shouldn't have to choose which is best.
