Income insurance medical?

Post by YOWFLYER »

Just wondering if anybody knows of a type of insurance that would cover pilots if they were to every lose their medical? I've already got critical illness and disability insurance but the coverages are approximately 70%. When you read the fine print there illnesses are also somewhat limited example: if a pilot was to go either deaf or blind, they would not fall under the critical illness or disability coverages. After reading the limited coverages, I started thinking that these plans weren't so great on their own. Anybody got any ideas?

I have loss of license insurance through my employer. It’s basically set up that when long term disability runs out of the aviation doctor says it’s unlikely you will be able to get a medical in the future it will pay out.
