Re: Recalls
Looks like the list sits at about 665 right now. As of October 1 2021 #355 is the last recalled and by March 17 2021 we will be at #553. That's if nobody else takes a leave or extends their leave, then we will end up further down the list.
Re: Recalls
Did the recalled pilots have to take any concessions eg reduced block month of any other type of pay reduction?
Re: Recalls
All pilots @ 65h.
The real pay reduction is from the insurance (long term disability): 1000$ per month taken out from my paycheck.
ALL THIS IS JUST RIDICULOUS. The Canadian dream..

We pay for our premiums and if we go on LTD the payment are tax free. When the employer pays for the premium the payments are taxed. We have about 10% of the pilots on LTD and many are top scale, drives the premiums up, a lot.imjustlurking wrote: ↑Mon Oct 18, 2021 6:54 pmWait, what? You have to pay back LTD?

Ten percent seems like a disproportionately large number. Is this the Transat Long-Term Disability Retirement Plan?TFTMB heavy wrote: ↑Tue Oct 19, 2021 5:15 amWe pay for our premiums and if we go on LTD the payment are tax free. Wow. Sounds like bottom of the list will be out 2+ years. Same for SWG.

Re: Recalls
Sunwing has over 50% of pilots back fully-recalled (at a reduced 55 MMG). All pilots are going through SIM to get recurrent and more recalls are expected shortly with the positive news regarding easing of travel restrictions and the possibility of smaller airports opening for international arrivals again.

Sunwing is doing recurrents for all for 50% recalls? One can get trained without being recalled?DHC-1 Jockey wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 12:40 pmSunwing has over 50% of pilots back fully-recalled (at a reduced 55 MMG). Re: Recalls
We have 2 separate LOU's: one for training and one for recall to line flying.JoeyBarton wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 7:09 am Sunwing is doing recurrents for all for 50% recalls? One can get trained without being recalled?
As part of recent negotiations, it was agreed that every pilot would be recalled for recurrent training (with the ability to decline if they wished). Once training was completed, pilots are laid off again until they get recalled to the line for flying duties, which again the pilot has the right to pass on if they wish. Right now, I know that recall offers for line flying have gone out to about 75% of the pilots. The junior 25% are currently beginning SIM but haven't been offered a recall to the line yet. This all designed to have every pilot current in case of a rapid ramp-up in operations.
Some pilots will accept the training recall for the additional money but decline the flying recall as they may have other jobs that are paying more than the current 55 MMG and can't afford to leave wherever they are currently to come back for reduced hours.
Re: Recalls
They are recalling November 2015 now. That's 65.8% of the company recalled. More to come in December, January, February and March as per LOU. DOH 2018 will be recalled in February and March. Guaranteed recalls until march 2022 accounts for 82% of the company.TFTMB heavy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 7:01 amSome from 2014

Re: Recalls
Interesting that the majority of flying appears to be out of YUL now.
What does the future look like for YYZ base in terms of relative sizing for the crews?

Not really? Around 40% of the flying is from YYZ?indieadventurer wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 11:11 am Interesting that the majority of flying appears to be out of YUL now.
