PASCAN starting YUL-YGK March 12 2022 with Saab 340

Post by RoAF-Mig21 »

This is from "The Kingstoninst" (article link at the bottom of this post).

PASCAN will commence service from Montreal to Kingston on March 12, 2022 with a Saab 340. According to the news article, flights will be:

Mon - Fri: x3 daily (6:10am, 11:30am and 6:30pm)
Sat & Sun: x2 daily (11:30 and 6:30pm)

This is good news. Hopefully Kingston will also see service to YYZ soon.

I don't think so. Jazz also had 3+ flight per day when they used to run YGK-YYZ. A lot of people traveling from YGK to YUL will connect on with Air Canada and Air Transat. (again, as per article)

That's 111 seats in each direction.

Kingston metro has a population of over 160,000 people (2016 census).

For comparison, here are some other communities and the number of seats being flown (during COVID).

Kelowna (132,000): 2,500 seats (only including commercial scheduled flights flown from YVR, YYJ, YYC, YEG, and YYZ on Monday January 10, 2021)
Victoria (92,000): more than that

I'm too lazy to continue the comparison, but I believe my point is made.
