I wish they would actually break it down like this:

- People in the hospital because covid 19 actually put them in there
- People in the hospital for unrelated reasons, but happened to test positive for covid 19 while there

That’s literally the only breakdown I ever want to see. Right here is proof that the Ontario government just records everyone the same:

They like to run the numbers high to keep pushing their narrative. I remember the guy in the states last year who crashed his motorcycle and they tested the corpse and counted it as a Covide death.

While the general incidence of COVID was a small proportion of the population, very few people hospitalized for other reasons would have been COVID positive. As of July last year, in the UK it was reckoned to be less than 1 in 4 COVID positive people in hospital who had been admitted for something else:

Now that proportion is growing, beccause COVID is becoming much more widespread, I would expect to see the statistics reported change.

Given that the vaccinated make up the vast majority in the Ohio adult population is this not expected?
As long as the vaccination shot is improving a future response by the immune system it is doing its job.
The polio, MMR, Rotavirus, Diphtheria, pertussis vaccines also do not confer sterile immunity or completely eliminate spread.

In the USA, it is certain. Every ventilator nets the hospital $39,500. In the private medicine system, you'll want to tube as many patients as possible for the bottom line. There is a tangible incentive to increase the ICU numbers.
